Plot Summary

An anthropology graduate student (Denise Richards), guided by her prostituting neighbor (Darryl Hannah), delves into the complexities of the world's oldest profession. Combining narrative and documentary feature in a unique and compelling way, the film takes a penetrating journey into the lives of international male and female prostitutes from the highest paid call girls to the truck stop hookers. Often touching and moving, sometimes shocking and always entertaining, this film, based on a best selling novel, will impact your view of the people who serve society's most basic urges.

subtitled documentary, dont waste your time

Ok, I love Denise Richards, but I dont know why she decided to be a part of this movie. I hate that I wasted my money renting it. The whole movie is a narator interviewing prostitutes, in different languages so its subtitled a lot, and then there are bits of a story in there about Richards' character. It was more like a documentary than a movie. This was painful to watch it was so bad. The plot looks good, there would be potential if it were just filmed as a regular movie. I would advise anyone not to waste their time on it. The only good thing about it was that Denise looks hot, but you dont see her much, so again its not worth it.

Not 1 Redeeming Quality ...

From the cast to the finished cut, this is cr*p. It gets thrown in my trash can of 10 all time worst movies. It is awful.

The LIfe

Great mix of narrative and documentary. The film covers the topic of prostituion from a global perspective bringing the viewer into the world of those who choose or are forced to become prostitues. Great ending to the film where the "characters" - sex workers express their inner most desires for the future. Most expressed desires to be normal which ususaly consisted of having a profession, a spouse, children and a home.
