Plot Summary
When a young Amish woman and her son get caught up in the murder of an undercover narcotics agent, their savior turns out to be hardened Philadelphia detective John Book. Harrison Ford is sensational as Book, the cop who runs head-on into the non-violent world of a Pennsylvania Amish community. The end result is an action packed struggle of life and death, interwoven with a sensitive undercurrent of caring and forbidden love.

I live near Amish country & consider many of them friends. This movie is accurate with the scenes of the Amish in their homes, town, family issues ec. Well worth watching. Didn't it get an Academy Award? If not it should have!

"Witness" showcases Ford at his absolute best!
"Witness" is the one of the best Harrison Ford movies ever made, bar none! You're in for a real treat as the story was riveting and suspense-packed, the musical score by composer Maurice Jarre was electrifying, and the direction of Peter Weir ("The Truman Show", "Gallipoli") was top-notch! Add in some great supporting performances by Kelly McGillis, Lukas Haas, Danny Glover, the late Alexander Godunov ("Die Hard"), and a small appearance by a pre-Lord of the Rings Viggo Mortensen, and you've got a ticket to one of the best late-1980s drama/thrillers ever made! Do not hesitate to buy "Witness" on iTunes today!
