Good movie even though nothing like the book

Ok, lets get real for a moment. Anyone saying the movie is bad simply because it wasn't like the book is an idiot, lets be honest. How could you possibly turn that book into a 2 hour movie? IMPOSSIBLE. They would have had a better chance at being faithful to the book by starting a series on TV, but even if you look at Walking Dead, even that isn't fully possible. Take it for what the movie is, a zombie flick with a big budget, good directing, producing and acting. They did a great job making a fast paced action thriller. Some spots needed some help, but overall a great movie. I do wish they had kept the original ending as I have read about it, but this ending was not as gory, but just as intense. I also read about Matthew Fox's additional scenes that were cut, which it was too bad they were. If they do additional sequels, I hope they go R instead to keep them more inline with the tone of the book and the zombie genre in general. Gotta give credit to Pitt for attempting a zombie film. I can't see many actors of his stature doing this type.

Best zombie movie I have ever seen the director did a awesome job

Was pretty good up to a point

Four star zombie flick up to about 2/3 the way through. Zombies move fast, they infect fast, and mass infest cities around the globe. Pitt is ok, all I really thought about his role in this is how old he looks (never been a huge fan). But its servicable and I found I was enjoying it. All up until the transition to the lab at the end of the movie. Then abrubtly you see where they ran out of money. It transforms from a big budget summer popcorn zombie flick to a made for tv lets squeeze another 15 minutes out of this with only 10k left to spend... Very poor last 30 minutes of the movie. I wish it would have stayed on the same quality as the first hour or so, but it is what it is. Overall 2 stars.
