Plot Summary

There's no mistaking the grand voice, the outsized personality, the friendly, open face. Stepping outside his traditional operatic canon to star in his only feature film is renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti. Not that the "King of the High Cs" steps too far outside with this breezy tale of romance. Nor would fans want things any other way. The role of an opera star touring the U.S. provides an ample showcase for Pavarotti's rich vocal artistry in works including Ave Maria, La Donna È Mobile, his signature Nessun Dorma, even I Left My Heart in San Francisco. Franklin J. Schaffner (Patton) directs, with locations including Italy, Boston, New York and the Napa Valley. Bravo, Giorgio! Bravissimo, Luciano!

Finally I Found it!!!

Wow! You have made my day! I watched this film when I was 12 years old and I truly loved it right from the start. I was looking for this movie everywhere for years. I couldn't find it anywhere. Now I watched it again after 23 years and it really brought some great memories back to me. I was surprised how much of the movie I remembered. Bravissimo! Thanks Itunes for uploading this movie!

The Golden Tenor!

Luciano Pavarotti was indeed the greatest tenor of out times, this movie reflects, indeed, what his unique voice and personality was.

In Memory of a Great Talent

One wouldn't rent this film to judge Pavarotti's acting genius, because it won't be found here. Rather, one should rent this film to experience his legendary voice in some of the best music ever written surrounded by some wonderful set design. Having that said, even though the storyline is a bit cheesy, it's still fun and worthwhile.
