Fresh: There is something about Holmes's elegant, haunting, and whisperingly melancholic distance, his analytical remove from the world, that inspires a desire for glimpses of the baroque corridors of labyrinthine interiors.

Great film!
This was a great little film, the acting was good and the story was great! the ( Bear ) question to Watson is still one of the best brain teasers ever! Another superb Spielberg film!
Favorite Spielberg movie of all time!
Terrific story. Watch closing credits all the way through to the end for a "surprise" that all Sherlock Holmes fans will appreciate.
Well Done
Even though it is not based upon a "written" Sherlock Holmes story, this movie very accurately portrayed Sherlock and Watson and their respective habits. Also, it took on the various ways of writing that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had and how he managed to fit in multiple hidden literary devices and smaller, more hard-to-find sub-mysteries. You could also see the connections between this and other Sherlock Holmes mysteries, especially the newest Sherlock Holmes (2009). I give it a 5/5 for its amazing use of plot, characters, and relation to most other "written" stories and movies done about Holmes.
