Plot Summary

Comic actor Ben Stiller co-wrote, directed, and stars in this spoof of the fashion industry that began as a short skit for the 1996 VH1 Fashion Awards. Stiller is Derek Zoolander, an intellectually challenged but bone structure-blessed male model who's despondent after being eclipsed in popularity by an equally vacuous rival, Hansel (Owen Wilson). Upon his reluctant retirement, Derek is invited to a day spa by previously standoffish fashion designer Jacobim Mugatu (Will Ferrell), where the befuddled model is brainwashed by the mysterious Katinka (Milla Jovovich) into assassinating the prime minister of Malaysia. In addition to Stiller's real-life wife Christine Taylor, Zoolander co-stars his father Jerry Stiller, along with Jon Voight, David Duchovny, Andy Dick, and Fabio.

Incredibly funny movie!

I've seen this movie about a thousand times and the jokes are still hilarious. Ben Stiller and company do an excellent job of replicating the male-modeling industry in all of its half-witted glory. Fashion sensation Mugatu (Will Ferrell) is ordered by his superiors to assassinate the prime minister of Malaysia and to terminate his plans of eliminating child labor in sweat shops. He then chooses washed-up male model Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) to do his biddings by brainwash. The plot is ridiculous, but that's what makes it so great! Tons of great quotes and movie moments, but the best part is it never gets old. Buy this movie, it's well worth the ten bucks.

I think I'm getting the black lung, pop

I have seen this movie thousands of times, and every time, it gets exponentially better. Trust me, it grows on you. Zoolander is a really...really...really.......ridiculously good movie! You must buy it. However, I must tell you, if you are not a fan of stupid (in a good way)-funny humor, this movie may be tough to watch. Mark my words though, even if you hate it, you'll find yourself quoting this masterpiece until the end of time. This movie will make you shed tears of laughter, trust me. The only person I've known who doesn't love this movie is my math teacher. Please buy and enjoy!

One of the funniest movies EVER! Genius!

I LOVE this movie! Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Christine Taylor (remember her from "Hey, Dude"?!) are a great trio in this one. Ben Stiller plays a dimwitted male model who's on the brink of being a has-been to an up-and-coming, supposedly younger, Hansel (Own Wilson). When Will Ferrell comes into the movie as the slightly gender ambiguous evil fashion mogul, Mugatu, it's almost hard to breathe. I laugh constantly as I watch this movie and really REALLY hard at least once in every scene. WARNING: Don't watch this by yourself!!! You won't like it! Watch it with someone your own age. It's a crowd pleaser. Oh, yeah, and there are like a billion celebrities in it from Gwen Stefani to Lenny Kravitz and Lil' Kim to Mark Wahlberg. Icing on the cake!
