Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: It's an incredible performance by Franco, walking the line between what once was enthusiasm but now is manic desperation.
Fresh: Danny Boyle makes you experience the ordeal in vivid, intimate details. You feel everything from the visceral agony to the utter triumph. It's brilliant movie-making
Fresh: It's really solid filmmaking and daring.
Fresh: As a follow-up to Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours shows Danny Boyle at the top of his form -- it's not a story many filmmakers would want to tackle, and few would handle it as well.
Customer Reviews
Wow.
Inspirational. Breathtaking. Thought provoking. 93 minutes of pure intensity, 127 hours takes an amazing true story and turns it into a brilliant masterpiece of a film. James Franco does an amazing job of truly taking the audience on an emotional roller coaster, bringing them through elation and pain; depression and euphoria. Director Danny Boyle doesn't lose you for a second, a huge feat considering most of the film is in a small crevasse in Utah, the camera only focused on one actor. 127 hours is not a movie you enjoy watching and then forget about. This story is one that will leave you saying "wow" and will be the focus of your thoughts for days and weeks to come.
You'll love it so much, you'll clap your hands when its over
i don't think i've ever watched a film so emotionally strong that even tho i watched it a week ago, it still impacted me so hard that im still thinking about it. I hope James franco wins the best actor oscar because he really deserves it
