Plot Summary
180° South: Conquerors of the Useless follows Jeff Johnson as he retraces the epic 1968 journey of his heroes Yvon Choulnard and Doug Tompkins to Patagonia. Along the way he gets shipwrecked off Easter Island, surfs the longest wave of his life - and prepares himself for a rare ascent of Cerro Corcovado. Jeff's life turns when he meets up in a rainy hut with Choulnard and Tompkins who, once driven purely by a love of climbing and surfing, now value above all the experience of raw nature - and have come to Patagonia to spend their fortunes to protect it.

awesome movie... makes you think
Makes you want to pack a bag and head south to Patagonia.
Not the best film by Chris Malloy in my opinion, but has great cinematography, and reminds you that there are some amazingly beautiful parts of this world away from the madness of modern society where you can still have a proper adventure, also makes a strong case for protecting those valuable natural areas.
Apple, why is the HD version only available to rent, and even then only on iPad/Apple TV? After seeing this film in HD, I'd like to purchase the HD version!
