personal struggles

I really enjoyed this movie and the journey of one man's real experience of deciding to do what's right- even when the stakes are so high.

Thrilling

I was lucky enough to catch 186 Dollars to Freedom at the Providence Film Festival. The film is a very gritty and raw thriller about a carefree, naive and cocky Californian surfer wrongfully arrested in Peru for cocaine trafficking in the early 1980s. Once in prison, the protagonist must grow up quickly and make surprising alliances to try to escape from El Sexto prison. The film was very well received at the Providence Film Festival. This is one not to be missed.

LOCK UP NIGHTMARE

I saw this film at a film festival last year and it blew me away. Then
I read the Rotten Tomatoes review and it was like they had seen
another movie. This is the best prison film I've seen since "Shawshank
Redemption" and it's as scary as "Midnight Express". The characters
and situations depicted are so bizarre that it's impossible for me to
doubt that it's "based on a true story". I mean nobody could just make
this stuff up. Great photography, intense soundtrack, awesome actors,
just don't bring the kids cause the violence is pretty graphic.
