Plot Summary
John Herzfeld deftly welds together a multitude of subplots into a spoof of the crime thriller genre: a loser hit man and a cool assassin involved in an insurance scam, a washed up director turned suicidal, a snooty art dealer cared for by his devoted assistant, a grungy vice cop now partnered with a fresh faced rookie, and two beautiful and jealous women entangled in their deadly scheme.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: A sleek, amusingly nasty screen debut by a film maker whose television credits include an Amy Fisher docudrama.
Fresh: To the director's credit, the actors all seem responsive to his touch, giving performances that are lively and flavorsome, if not deep or unlike anything each of them has done before.
Rotten: Herzfeld has a tolerable eye for filling a 'Scope frame but a tin ear when it comes to creating dialogue; these are all characters we've met before, and most even seem bored with themselves.
Rotten: Shallow characterisation, a script so laid-back you can almost hear it snoring and the occasional outburst of hokey dialogue lead to a movie a good deal less charming than it thinks it is.
