Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Tony Piccirillo's independent video feature suggests a second-rate Off-Off Broadway play as it might have been captured on a camcorder by a doting parent. – Dave Kehr, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The movie is never more than a hesitantly filmed recording of the play. – Robert Koehler, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: What might have proved reasonably compelling onstage comes across as forced on film, with credibility taking a back seat to contrivance. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: No amount of fidgety editing and anxious soundtrack atonality can distract from the creakingly implausible scenario. – Dennis Lim, Village Voice, Nov 13, 2004

They Should Warn People

I wouldn't go getting myself all worked up about this supposedly "Gay" film. I believe it is one of those propaganda films made by right-wing nuts and mostly for the purpose of distracting what the producers believe is the homosexual agenda of "Recuiting" straight people. Pay close attention to the dialog. It does not jive with anything except homophobia. Like only gays get HIV.
Give it a watch. Know your enemy.

Intense

This took me by surprise. The story unfolds slowly but builds beautifully. Really tackled some tough issues about how people deal with their sexuality. I loved how they made the distinction between the truths we tell ourselves and the actual truth.

What is the truth?

I love this movie it was deep. James Marsden and Scott Speedman are just excellent in this film. This is absolutely one of the best movies, I have seen in years.
