Plot Summary
The epic graphic novel by Frank Miller (Sin City) assaults the screen with the blood, thunder and awe of its ferocious visual style faithfully recreated in an intense blend of live-action and CGI animation. Retelling the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, it depicts the titanic clash in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his massive Persian army. Experience history at swordpoint. And moviemaking with a cutting edge.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The kids just want to have fun. Many of them will. But what does that say about another Greek contribution -- Western civilization?
Rotten: A muscle-magazine fantasy crossed with a video game and an Army recruiting film.
Fresh: Watching 300, there's the arresting sense of eavesdropping on another time.
Fresh: If 300 represents an evolution in 'virtual' cinema, then at the same time it tells a story that transports us back to the violent roots of western civilisation.

alex
This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It actually made me want to read up on their people and history. The history channel has also been running the complete history of this battle in detail- if anyone is interested.
FOR SPARTA
This is my favorite movie of all time. No other movie can top the epic battle sequences this movie brings out. Each move the Spartan warriors make in battle is so well choreographed it becomes a dance of death. The stylized violence almost reminds one of a videogame. If you haven't seen this movie buy it. If you have seen this movie buy it and watch it again. You won't regret it.
Awesome
I can't put this how much I loved this movie in words. A MUST SEE!!!
