Plot Summary
Australian musician, Grayson, hits the road to discover America along the historic Route 66. Beginning in Chicago, IL Grayson goes from gig to gig along the famed roadway in search of the American experience as he engages with the eccentric locals in bars, jazz clubs, opera houses, record stores, taco stands, gun ranges and living rooms of small town Western America. Along the way he discovers the undervalued history, arts and diverse cultures of each region, culminating in California with one finale performance at the end of the trail.

Great exploration of America and a great Australian musician
As an American that hasn't driven much of Route 66, I appreciate Grayson bringing me along in his journey across the US. His sense of humor and love of learning keeps you wanting to know what he will come across next. The movie also gives a great insight into the lives of a traveling musician. His music is equally as pleasant and enjoyable as Grayson. Highly recommend checking this documentary out whether you are a music lover, American history buff or a documentary lover, you will not be disappointed.
