The characters are thin, the dialogue is bland and the animation is plasticky, though the 3D effects are sometimes interesting in a lurid, sub-Pixar fashion.

far too reminiscent of films that have gone before it and suffers from being overly didactic about its environmental themes.

Here, director and co-writer Ben Stassen shows as much contempt for characterisation as he did with his previous feeble effort, the offensively banal insect adventure Fly Me to the Moon.

You can't fault the film's message - it just doesn't know where to take it other than just pointing it out.

A Turtle's Tale is a dull and attempt to ripoff of the successes of Finding Nemo and though it doesn't really do anything wrong stylistically, the story is dull and humorless.

Thankfully, I slept through most of this. It's an obvious attempt to cash in on the success of Finding Nemo, and to be honest it kind of made me angry how obviously dumbed-down it was. Kids are much more intelligent than this movie gives them credit for and its producers should be ashamed.
