Audience Reviews for Dante's Inferno

Ehh. Dante's Inferno is pretty decent but it kind of just made me want to play the video game instead. I hadn't read the actual story in over 15 years so the analytical part of my mind that appreciates movies wasn't preset for this viewing. It was watching an anime version of a video game based on a famous literary work. Story, fighting, boss... story, fighting, boss. If you dig the game, the story or anime in general you may have a good time but otherwise I can't really think of a reason for you to go out of your way.

I only knew about the game on PS3, but I had no idea there was a film. I was surprised to find it at the library.

Its not that great but its a good rent. I noticed each sequence looked different and I came to the realization that each sequence of the movie had different Directors, which was fun to watch cause it was interesting to see how each Director molded their version.

Lots of blood and flesh, but what do you expect? It is the '9 Circles Of Hell'... Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud and Treachery!

Well over 700 years this is one of the most famous writings but it has never before been interpreted this way - a crusader super hero way! I bet the lazy teenagers struggling with books will love this animation with lots of monsters, boobs and fighting! And do not ask yourself why is EA (Electronic Arts) logo at the front of the movie - action-adventure video game was developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3... everything for education. :-)

Watchable but not too enjoyable!
