Keith Ferguson is unusual in being a cult figure, but one with relatively little information available online. This book remedies that. I received this yesterday, and had was pleasantly surprised at the presentation, size, and detail within the book. There are interviews and stories from friends and musicians who played with over the years, such as many of the T-Birds (including the very candid and touching foreword by Jimmie Vaughan): Mike Buck, Fran Christina (who was both affectionate and blunt), and even Kim Wilson. I haven't got much further than that, but I'm looking forward to reading about the Tailgator years.

Obviously, the man was pretty much a style icon. The photos are great, many high quality prints from from his friends and family's private collections, plus a bunch of out-takes by Photographer/bus driver Billy Cross.

Really happy to have this book in my hands.

A great book! Much bigger and better than I expected!! It's an amazing look inside of that Texas blues scene at that special time in Texas music history. The pictures alone are worth the price, but the reminiscing of Jimmie Vaughan and others is a great addition. If you were a fan of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Texas music or a big blues fan, this book is ESSENTIAL, don't miss it!!

This book is a must have for anyone who's a blues lover or interested in the Austin culture. It gives a great, in depth look at the life of one of the coolest men who has ever lived. I strongly recommend it.

Absolutely a must have for Texas Blues lovers let alone blues bass players! One of the key figures in the development of the Austin 80's Blues scene and roots rock with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and The Tailgators and many other bands before and after. His times with Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray and many others not so known. Narration based on interviews from many of his band partners and friends, with lots of great pictures, complete discography, sheets and tabs of his low-down and greasy Fender Precision bass lines. The best homage to Keith El Mero Guero Ferguson.
