About the Author
Patrick Mauries, editor and author, has written more than thirty books including Jewelry by Chanel (2012). He has known Karl Lagerfeld since the beginning of his literary career. Jean-Christophe Napias is an author, translator, and editor of books on dandyism, dance music, camp culture, and Paris. Sandrine Gulbenkian is director of the French publisher Parigramme. Charles Ameline is a graphic designer and co-founder of Teto, a producer of textiles printed with original designs from contemporary illustrators.

If you like Karl Lagerfeld, you will love this book. If you don't like him, some don't, you may not like this - so be honest with yourself and if for some reason his wit offends you - it will here. I am a massive fan of him, and his wit. This book is also a nice unusual fashionesque oriented piece of literature in that is is more a collection of sayings and quotes he has spoke during interviews or within literature. A brilliant and entertaining selection that you could read from start to finish, or put on an end table and read a page or two (or quote or two) from time to time.
But - if you are not a fan - why are you here? Easy recommendation. Enjoy it.

Karl is an interesting philosopher! His views on himself, his family (especially Mom) provide real insight to this very talented and unique man. Fun read, although a few pages at a time make is easier to ponder his words. Great little coffee table book.

A typical Karl Lagerfeld commentary book. He doesn't mince words or opinions and says what he thinks. I love it and it's very down to earth and funny to boot. I would hightly recommend it. Karl is a character and he is a genius.
