Shannon has just moved to Edinburgh, she left her family and shattered life behind. Looking to start fresh she lands a job as a receptionist at a tattoo shop. She may be tiny be she is a force to be reckoned with. We get bits and pieces of what happened to cause her to have her defenses up and why she has no use for bad boys. We get most of it in flashbacks and see all the things that has happened to her. She feels so broken and doesn't think she'll ever be able to mend the cracks in her heart. When she meets the manager, Cole Walker, she immediately pegs him as a bad boy and wants nothing to do with him.

We met Cole in Down London Road, he's all grown up now. He's a built, tattooed, sexy as hell man now. He's very charming and has the look of a bad boy. But looks can be deceiving, he's a nice and loyal guy that doesn't do casual. He has pain from his past that he has to deal with. He has a great support system from his sister and friends. We get to see them all interact and its amazing to see the loyalty and love between them all.

They met briefly as teenagers and they had a connection. Now the sparks start to fly and Shannon does her best to ignore him. Some things are said and it causes animosity between the two, some harsh words are thrown and its very emotional. They have their ups and downs as they battle it out to get to their happily ever after. They both have baggage and pain from their past to get through before they are able to get to the happiness they both deserve.

The author did a great job of building the relationship between these two. This is such a great book. I loved it and the emotional rollercoaster ride we took. I loved all the characters, it's a very well written story. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

I LOVED IT!! What can I say, Samantha can do no wrong. I was seriously going through some Sam withdraw there and Echoes of Scotland Street just hit the spot! I truly love that woman and her writing. If you have read a book by Samantha before, you know exactly what I am talking about. She is the queen of romance and swoony men. My first thought about the name of the book was, wow, that's different. It's a little odd. But, after reading it, it completely goes with the story. I love it!

In the 5th installment of On Dublin Street, Samantha gives us Cole's story. Can you say perfect? He is the epitome of a perfect man. Plus, it helps that he is covered in tattoos! HOT! But Cole isn't just a tall, blonde, and sexy Scottish man, he is sweet and compassionate too. Believe me, you will fall head over heals for him, just like Shannon did. Shannon moves to Edinburgh to get away from her past. A past that has stripped everything from her. With little money and no one to give her a hand, Shannon knows she has to find a job ASAP. She interviews at tattoo parlor and gets hired on the spot. It's not much, but it's something. That's where she sees Cole, again. She knows him from when she was a little girl, but she decides to keep it to herself. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, you could tell sparks were flying. The chemistry between those two was palpable and I loved every minute of it! There are so many swoon worthy moments and I was loving every minute of it. Cole and Shannon are perfect!

Echoes of Scotland Street had me devouring every page from beginning to end. It has the perfect amount of love, sex, suspense and drama to keep you interested through out the whole book. Another great masterpiece by one of my all time favorite authors, EVER! Thank you Sam for giving us Cole and Shannon!

~Ana

Little Cole is all grown up! If you have been following this series, Cole is the younger brother of Jo from Down London Road. Cole didn’t have the easiest of childhoods but his sister and her boyfriend really came through for him and set him on the right path. Cole has a passion for body art and now manages a popular tattoo parlour in Edinburgh, he gets a pleasant surprise when a blast from the past is hired as the new receptionist.

Although I was initially disappointed that I wasn’t getting Cole’s POV as it is his story, I wasn’t disgruntled for long as Shannon was instantly likeable. She moved to Edinburgh after a fall out with her family, they never approved of her choices in partners, as Shannon seemed to attract the baddest of bad boys. Of course, upon meeting sexy, tattooed Cole, Shannon typecasts him as a bad boy and she denies their previous encounter. Shannon is determined to keep things platonic between them, but her shield crumbles when Cole proves her bad boy theory wrong.

“Don’t, I snapped, turning on my heel and heading back to the kitchen to finish making dinner. “Don’t what?” He followed. “Be boyish and charming.” “That’s kind of hard. I am boyish and charming.”

As with all the previous books, I love the inclusion of the other characters and it’s great to see what stage they are at in their lives. I also like the new characters Samantha Young introduces, it is always an eclectic mix and they always add something to the story.

One character that made me laugh and frequently was Rae, she was also a tattooist and she didn’t mince her words. She was good enough to let Shannon stay with her, even though it did come with a couple of conditions.

“No need to worry about hiding your vibrators, Shannon.
