Jessica N. Watkins was born April 1st in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I wrote about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women’s fiction. She hopes that the Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous and sophisticated fashion. This was definitely a page turner, had me open from the first page. This book was not at all predictable which made it exciting. I laughed, cursed and cried all at the same time, lol! A MUST read and I can't wait for part 2.

Author Jessica Watkins has done it again! Every character has a significance and a motive in the story. SIMONE is SCANDALOUS!!! But I love her! LOL! ALL of the characters seem so real and we all know someone like them. I would love to see a picture of Omari! he sounds like eye candy to me! The twists and turns from this cast keeps you wanting to read more! Definitely a book that captivates an audience and one that you an not out down if you are a reality television lover! Ms. Jessica, don't limit yourself honey to the books! I see you in bigger and better big screens in your future!! GREAT WORK!!!! KEEP THEM COMING!!! BOOP!

This book was off the hook. It was realistic and you could easily identify with the characters. It was far from predictable. Excellent read, Simone is carrying some heavy luggage and I look forward to learning more about her and why she is the way she is. And Omari as fine as he sounds he's gotta sharpen up and I can't wait to see his character grow.

So just when I thought I was never going to read this Urban stuff again. I got sucked into this book. I was actually hooked. But I'm mad as hell at the "to b continued" ending. That girl was so boggish and desperate. Good read. I would have given it a 5 star but I'm pissed about the end.

Another 5* read!!!! Author Jessica Watkins you bringing it.... Never one to spoil a good story, but get ready for a nice ride... Omari-Aeysha in love for years through good times and bad they had each others back..... Ching, Omari older cousin been there for him all his life, but Ching is big in the drug scene trying hard to bring Omari in....Tammy-Jimmy after 5 years of crazy love, Tammy's on the run with Jimmy on her trail..... Then there's Simone the Side Bitch!!!! Can you say crazy???? This chick will make a man think twice about something on the side.... Put these characters and their lives together and you got a great story.....P.S. I didn't see the end coming.....

I have never read anything from this author but I saw some reviews and it was on sale. This was a total disappointment from start to end. This story had absolutely no redeeming character to want to root for. Either the men were screwing every woman that could walk in a straight line or the women were allowing themselves to be used and abused sexually without learning how to have respect for themselves. The ending was horrible the few characters you wanted to have an epiphany and grow into something better got killed off and the author left the side girl? When you read a story you want there to be something learned but there was only lost and a waste of my money! I try to buy from new authors but this story was ghetto in the worst way. From having unprotected sex , killing, to drugs and there was no lesson learned? Horrible story. Save your money!

It takes a lot to grab my attention from the beginning and actually keep it. With each page, I was engulfed in the story of Tammy and Jimmy, Omari and Aeyesha, Simone and Tre... Damn Damn Damn. I couldn't stop reading until the book was over. I loved the elements of this story and the flow was what kept me in it. I didn't want to skim or overlook one single word. Jessica has a way with telling a story from a male's point of view as if she is a male. Incredible. Tammy was my favorite character because I could relate to her. I'm not going to spoil the ending or spoil the story. I'm just going to say that Simone's crazy ass.... whew, I know some broads like her. A damned nut job. Good job, Jess. I have to read part 2 now!
