Jamie McGuire's Maddox Brothers are going to be the death of me, but in the best way possible. Beautiful Oblivion has been on my To-Read list since it was untitled, no synopsis, no release date, etc. Jamie McGuire is just one of those tried and true authors of mine, and again with this book, she absolutely doesn’t disappoint!
Oh Trenton….I don’t know that there are words for how much I love him. As much as I hate to compare the Maddox Brothers, it’s hard not to considering Travis has always raised the bar so high for me. Trenton is completely swoonworthy but in a totally different way than Travis was. I loved that Jamie wrote him in a way that we were utterly aware of his reputation, but we really only got tiny glimpses of it. He set his eyes on the prize and wasn’t going to stop until he got it. He was so sweet and protective, which was an instant turn-on for me! That fierceness with which he executed his emotions just made me fall completely in love with him.
Cami was also one of those characters that you just KNOW will stay with you. Jamie has this way of writing such strong, independent females. Cami is the only girl in her family so she has that no holds barred, doesn’t take s***, feisty attitude. However, she is ALSO incredibly protective of those she loves – especially her brothers. I adored the sibling relationships because it was portrayed so realistically. You want to protect each other, even though it may not always be done the right way, while also feeling this obligation to those who raised you. The dynamic to Cami’s character was just something special that hit me pretty hard.
Trent’s persistence from the beginning of this book just kept me hooked until the very last page. They truly started as friends and without even realizing it, fell in love.Read more ›

Holy Bruce Wayne, Batman!! This book was so good I am honestly having trouble finding words to describe how mind-blowing it was!!! I guess I would have to say Beautiful Oblivion was ABSOUTLY AMAZING and beautifully written!! Jamie McGuire is a writing goddess!! She made Trenton Maddox just as irresistible as Travis, but in a completely different way!!
When we first met Travis in Beautiful Oblivion he was the ultimate bad ass (Well he is in my book) but now we have big brother Trenton and OMG I don’t even know!! He is just as bad ass and sexy as Travis, but on the inside he has the biggest heart and is a big softy. Which I love! Every time Cami and Trent are in scenes together the sparks fly off the page and you can’t wait until they are finally together. I LOVE Cami and Trent together! They are so sweet and kind to one another, and they both care deeply about each other and want what is best for their relationship. Their relationship pulls at your heartstrings and makes you crave for a sexy romantic man like Trenton Maddox.
This book was is just AWESOME and the ending will BLOW YOUR MIND!!! If you have not bought this book you are missing out, and this review does not even come close to have great this book is! Jamie McGuire has done it again.
You cannot even begin to imagine the amount of love that i have for this book. The story, the suspense, the secret (shhh), the love, all of it is just mind blowingly amazing. I finished this book in less than 4 hours, because once I got started I just couldn't put it down.
Camille aka Cami, is a stubborn, independent, strong willed woman who's life is about to be turned upside down by the infamous Maddox brothers.
Trenton Maddox aka Trent, Is a tattooed fighting ladies man. Trent is scarred. After loosing his mother Diane at a young age and then a horrific accident that killed someone close to him, Trent isn't too keen on opening up. Well, unless its for the right woman.
Cami has known Trenton and all the Maddox boys for most of her life. One night when Trent wanders up to her table at The Red changes her life forever, and she has no idea. Trent is relentless and ruthless in his pursuit but Cami has absolutely no intention on being a notch on Trenton's bedpost. That however doesn't stop the duo from becoming best friends. But Cami has a secret. The closer she becomes to Trenton the more imperative it becomes for this secret to remain a secret. Because not only could the repercussions rip her heart out, but they would also hurt the people she cares about most. Cami is fighting a loosing battle in keeping her heart out of Trent Maddox's charming hands.
