The story continues, the writing also continues to be great. By the end of this part you will hate the male character. Ms. Cooper adds more questions as to the real relationship between these characters. As I said I read these back to back and love each one of them. They are worth your time and effort. You will be hooked on J.S. Cooper. Warning they are steamy.

Kate gets a job and Brandon is her new boss. Will he be a big jerk or a good boss. He starts up where they left off and makes her feel bad all the way. He is older but he acts like he is a young man after one thing. I can't wait to read the last book this seems to just be one turn after another.

I really do not understand the 4 and 5 star ratings. The storyline was fine, the depth of the characters was not there. The writing was completely juvenile....I even went out of my way to search out the authors to see if indeed they were very young girls (no...they didn't have that as an excuse) I am not against a female lead being stupid or doing stupid things or even the lead male being egotistical and a jerk but some backstory is necessary for.me to give a crap!!! There were so many things that made this entire series just LAME. Save your money!!! More importantly...spend your time reading a.better quality book.

I gave The Ex Games 2, 2.5 Stars.
Before we begin, let us acknowledge that Brandon is a douche bag of the highest order. Like seriously, there is no sexy Alpha going on here. He's a manipulator and he has most likely being lying to Katie for the same amount of time she has to him.
Also *newsflash* Katie dear, you are no longer 18 so let's not act like it. I'm sure my brain would also short circuit if my hunky first love reappeared and the sizzling chemistry was still there. Sure I can give her that and even a relapse or two, we have all been there, but when that man clearly uses and humiliates you repeatedly, it is time to use that Ivy League brain of yours and kick his ass to the curb. However, our dear Katie did not, instead she decided to put Kleenex out of business and cry a river for the guy.
The flashbacks were still present in this novella and I didn't mind that, it continued to build their previous relationship in order for us to understand why Katie was still hung up on Brandon. I felt the flashbacks needed defining within the passages as it would suddenly flip from present to past and back again, causing me to re-read to understand where the story stood now.
The plot was ok and for this I would give it 3 stars, Brandon was playing with Katie and his secrets were being slowly revealed. The writing was also a 3 for me. It wasn't great and some descriptions I questioned, I think greater attention to detailed is needed. What were the colleagues doing as Brandon was trying to get Katie off under the table while they simultaneously shouted at each other? That would have made for one interesting meeting.
The characters would get 2 stars from me. I didn't see any character growth from Katie, she didn't seem to age in the last 7 years.Read more ›

Simply put....Don't waste your time even starting this series. It is barely a book. It takes 45 minutes to read. Out of the three books in the series, this was the best. But don't let that mislead you. They all sucked. This one just had a decent twist on the end. I didn't expect much from this book. I read 150+ books a year. I don't expect complex characters and plot twists from a book from this genre. They simply need to have hot sex scenes and you have to like the characters. Katie seemed one-dimensional through the first two books. We final get a glimpse of some depth at the end of this one. Honestly, both her and Brandon are not very likable. I have never returned a book and for $0.99 -- I want my money back. If only I could get my time back. What a waste!

I thought The Ex Games part 1 was good...I am telling you part 2 is even better! Again I finished this book with my mouth hanging open! I don't know how JS Cooper comes up with it!! I am anxiously awaiting part 3...I can't wait and neither will you!!
