Whether going by the name Emily March or Geralyn Dawson, you can count on this author to come up with a sexy, funny, tender hearted romance that will have you falling in love with the characters and anxiously anticipating the next book in the series. First released under the title Give Him The Slip... these are the Callahan brothers of Brazos Bend, Texas and they're one bunch of tough, good looking guys... suffering from tragic events that shaped their current family dynamics plus the fact that they are estranged from their wealthy and powerful father Branch Callahan.
Book one focuses on Luke, one of a set of twins and four brothers names Matthew, Mark, Luke and of course John. Luke has just retired from the DEA after losing his partner and just wants some down time fishing with his brothers when he takes off in his cabin cruiser only to find one beautiful, red headed stow away named Maddie Kincaid. Maddie got on the boat looking for Luke's partner unaware that he was dead and she is in a heap of trouble with a questionable past hanging over her head and millions of dollars worth of drugs in her mini-van that aren't hers. All Luke wants to do is fish... all Maddie wants to do is live a simple, quiet life running her elder care business, keeping a nice home and visiting with her goldfish Oscar. But somebody wants her dead and Luke can't turn his back on the sexy, independent Maddie who appeals to him as no one has in a long time... even if it means he has to return to Brazos Bend and face his father.
It's a good old fashioned romance with a well balanced combination of sex, danger, mystery, humor and of course romance. Next up is The Callahan Brothers of Brazos Bend: Matt which will be available on September 19, 2014 and I for one am looking forward to it!

I really enjoyed everything about this book except the explicit sex, I often wonder why authors think they need that, to sell their book. This author is talented, the book would have been just as good without it. All of us know what it means when you say they made love, give us some credit in using our own imaginations.

I've been a fan of Emily March's since my mother-in-law encouraged me to read her Eternity Springs series. I think that was when she had only written the first book, so I wait patiently like many others do for the next to arrive and I grab it as soon as it's available! So when I heard that she was re-releasing an older series I was hesitant because I feel like Eternity Springs is a place I want to visit every vacation and it's hard to "move on" so to say. But since I'm originally from Texas, I definitely wanted to give this series a try. I'm so glad I did! I immediately fell in love with Maddie and her fish Oscar. She's strong and independent yet she still was a very unpredictable person. And Luke. Well, he's just plain hot and sexy and the perfect bad boy hero. The story was entertaining, the mystery was a good mystery, and I can't wait to really meet Luke's brothers in the very near future. I should note that I was given an advanced copy of the book by the author and promised to write an honest review. This was honestly a very entertaining read and I would visit Brazos Bend in a heartbeat! As long as they still serve ice cream at the Dairy Princess!

What happens when two independent people find that sparks fly whenever they're together, and though they both have secrets, they find that they do need each other for life and for love?
Luke, and his brothers, Matt, Mark, and John were know as the "bad boys" of Brazos Bend when they were teen agers. Now, John's murder caused the others to become estranged from their wealthy Dad. They have all become responsible adults, working in different government agencies. For Luke, he's just resigned as a DEA agent after the tragic loss of his partner. He's going off on his large boat for a fishing trip when an unexpected guests shows up asleep in his guest room.
Maggie Kincaid was that "sleeping beauty". She's been living a quiet peaceful life in Brazos Bend, running her business, Home For Now, helping old and infirm people remain in their homes. She has her own notorious and secret past and she's unwittingly gotten herself in deep trouble. She needs Luke's help but he wants no part in more investigations. The problem is that just looking at Maggie is like being drawn to a magnet. Sometimes they stick like magnets, but they also find themselves pushed apart like magnets in reverse polarity. But Maggie's life may just depend upon Luke's help.
This is a roller coaster ride of a romantic mystery. The characters are complicated but so endearing. I soon became very involved with Luke and Maggie, finding myself crying for them one minute and yelling at then another minute. The mystery came with lots of clues but I was guessing until the very satisfying surprise ending. I was left wanting more!! Luckily, Emily March will soon have two books coming out continuing the stories of Matt and Mark.

Emily March' s book "Luke" was a delight. The mystery kept me wondering until the end. Luke is such a lovable man, you can tell he will always be the white night for Maddie. Maddies tragic childhood as a rock idols daughter, Baby Dagger makes you glad that she still has love and a since of humor. Every time I thought the mystery was solved it wound a new twist again but Luke is determined to see Maddie safe. I can't wait to see what happens to the rest of the Callahan boys. Emily March has a hit!
