I've stared at the Breathless Trilogy sitting on my shelf wondering what to do about them. I am philosophically opposed to throwing books away. On the other hand, to send them off to the used books store where some unknowing reader might waste even another cent on them has me in a dilemma.
I've done my best to make my peace with the spelling, grammar and punctuation errors found not just in this series, but in several others as well. And fine, the three friends, Gabe, Jace and Ash central to the story are not just wealthy, but filthy rich. Almost been there, done that a few times too many. However, I can't deal with the poor plots, garbage men and doormat women that dominate these books.
The first in the series I would almost consider the best of the lot. It could have been decent it weren't for the "betrayal" of our heroine at the hands of her lover Gabe. I won't spoil the story for anyone foolish enough to buy these, but he does something nearly unforgivable. No, not nearly unforgivable, it should be unforgivable at the very least to himself. Unfortunately for us readers, it takes about 1 day for everything to be both honkey and doorey in this writers world.
The second and third books are basically the same one, just change out the names. The two men who up until the beginning of the 2nd book like to share women
then toss these humans aside after a few weeks of playing with them. Why should I care about either of them?
In "Fever", its a homeless woman for crying out loud that "changes Jace forever". Not to sound cruel but the homeless are so sexy without the availability to shower and get clean clothes and of course any rich dudes would gravitate to them immediately.Read more ›

If I hadn't purchased the trilogy, I would NEVER have finished them. It felt, from the beginning, as if a teenager had just learned all the "naughty" words and decided to use as many as possible in a short amount of time. All three books were predictable and cheesy. Speaking of time, don't waste yours.
