About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author K. Bromberg is that reserved woman sitting in the corner who has you all fooled about the wild child inside of her—the one she lets out every time her fingertips touch the computer keyboard. K. lives in Southern California with her husband and three children. When she needs a break from the daily chaos of her life, you can most likely find her on the treadmill or with Kindle in hand, devouring the pages of a good, saucy book. On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Her debut novels, Driven, Fueled, and Crashed of The Driven Trilogy were well received and went on to become multi-platform bestsellers as well as landing on the New York Times and USA Today lists. She is currently working on two stand alones, Slow Burn and Sweet Ache, as well as Raced and an untitled novella to the Driven Series.

Sweet Jesus! I could never get enough of Colton. K. Bromberg has done it again, she's so talented and what a great story she's shared with us, she is so talented. I can't recommend The Driven Trilogy enough, please, please, please read them. You have to read them in order and I promise you will not be sorry. Colton & Rylee are an unbelievable loving, emotional, beautiful couple. Raced, is Bromberg at her brilliance, writing Colton's POV was just as great as I thought it would be, he's so sexy, so funny, I had lots of laugh out loud moments, too many to name. You just have to love Colton, you can't help it and you're not going to want to help it, that's the best part. If I could give Raced and the entire Driven Trilogy a hundred stars I would. It's great hearing dialogue between Becks and Colton that we didn't have in Fueled (the Vegas scene). K. Bromberg is the real deal, I can't wait to read Slow Burn, Haddie and Becks story in February 2015, I do hope we get to see more of Colton and Rylee in there as well, we can never get enough of them. I will re-read Driven, Fueled, Crashed and Raced over and over again because it's that good. Please purchase them ASAP!

This is what all authors should do, we all want to know the male's POV, it's refreshing and oh so delicious. I can't wait to start our blog at goodreads on Driven.

I'm not as eloquent as others writing. All I can do is tell you about how much I loved the series, and this was no different. I've read the trilogy about 4 times. Each time, I've come across something I missed. Kristy pretty much has ruined me for any other authors to supersede this series.

Raced is no different. Of course we ALL have our "one" scene we want to see on the POV. If that were the case, this would be a novel and rehashing words. I've read other POV's and it's all repetitive. Not Raced. From the moment Rylee fell out of the closet and who Colton THOUGHT she was (THAT was hysterical) to the kids to his relationships with Becks and his dad...this was a well, thought out novella.

Kristy put a lot of thought into this, as well as her heart and soul. When you read a series of books that takes you away to the point that you are feeling every little thing the characters feel, you know you have a good book. She has a way of making you feel the characters, want to be with them, have lunch with them!!

Raced was a great companion and, of course, you can never get enough of Colton. I can't wait for Slow Burn to come out!! I hope Kristy continues her journey and keeps us busy reading.

Like I said, I'm just another reader but, I know when a story takes me away and I can disappear into it for a little while, it's magic. And isn't that what reading is all about??

BTW--For those critiquing because it was parts here and there, or in pieces, yes-it's a SHORT story.--READ THE DESCRIPTION. It's a NOVELLA in Colton's POV for ALL 3 BOOKS. if you can't read that, maybe you shouldn't be reading period. I've read it a 2nd time and stand by one of the best series I have ever read!!!

I loved Colton's chapters in Fueled and Crashed, so naturally I was very excited when I found out we were going to get a companion novella filled with various scenes from the trilogy told in his perspective. This novella was intriguing, enlightening, and emotional. I felt like I relived every feeling I had about Colton throughout his journey in this series. From the beginning of Driven when I wanted to smack him upside the head for being such an incredibly arrogant jerk to the end of Crashed when I was so tearful over how he had overcome his demons and accepted Rylee's love, I absolutely loved experiencing all of those emotions again.

The scenes K. Bromberg chose to retell from Colton's point-of-view really helped me understand what he was thinking and why he acted that way he did. I couldn't read through them fast enough, and I loved the excitement of not knowing which scene would be next. We saw all of my favorite parts of Colton including his bromance with Becks, his special relationship with his father, and his explosive and undeniable connection with Rylee. Colton's feelings were so palpable in all of the scenes, and his vulnerability and inner struggles absolutely tugged at my heartstrings. I didn't think it was possible, but this novella made me love Colton even more. Raced is definitely a must read for fans of the trilogy.

This book read like an afterthought. It comes across as more written to appease the fans, not because K. Bromberg really wanted to write it. There is a heavy fan following on Facebook and God forbid with this group of women if you disagree with how amazing this book is but I did not feel like there was any new insight or understanding of Colton that wasn't discussed in the original book series. In fact I felt that there were pivotal scenes left out. What was Colton doing during pit stops? What was he thinking when Rylee said I love you and he disappeared for three days before R caught him with Tawney. What was he thinking and feeling when he finds out he was a father except Rules lost the baby? Yes these were addressed in the original series but so we're the scenes K. Bromberg already selected. The last negative I have is that K Bromberg starts off every chapter with her thoughts about the scene and why she chose it. So we're in the middle of the story, scene and emotions in place, and then we get ripped out into modern day to her voice. Would have been fine as a forward or author notes after the book so that the reader can stay in the story. I guess overall I was hoping for a book more like Hudson by Laurelin Paige where you fully understand the Hero's motives and that was lacking in this companion novel.
