Kristen is the author of the Amazon and USA Today bestselling With Me In Seattle series. She has a passion for a good love story and strong characters who are full of humor and a strong sense of loyalty and family. Her men are the alpha type; fiercely protective and a bit bossy, and her ladies are fun, strong, and not afraid to stand up for themselves.
Kristen spends her days with her muse in the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys coffee, chocolate and sunshine. And naps.
The WITH ME series is full of interesting characters and lots of steam. Nat & Luke and Jules & Nate are great romantic couples. There is an attitude of "the more the merrier" as the families featured in this series evolve and we get to revisit old friends.
The problem is that this story is missing a plot. The novel starts when Mark and Meredith meet for the first time in ten years at her mother's funeral. Desperately in love at seventeen, they broke up when Meredith left for New York to pursue a dancing career. Although she has been back in Seattle for a year, she has made no attempt to contact the love of her life. Mark remains a bit of an enigma. When Meredith refused to allow him to go to New York with her, he avoided his personal life by doing six years of university in five. Then our rocket scientist became a deep sea fisherman and a construction foreman. Since the science degree did nothing to advance the story, the numerous references to it feel out of place.
Because M & M are immediately back in love, the rest of the book is just filler. There are artificial conflicts between our two lovebirds and there is much focus on previous characters who are frankly more interesting. I will say, though, that like Noah's Ark, things are getting a little crowded. Dominic is clearly waiting in the wings. Ms. Proby will have a challenge to make his story fresh.

I started off looking forward and loving each of Proby's work more than the last, but the last two novels have lost luster. This one in particular lacks depth, any real conflict, and creativity. Truthfully most her books don't focus on real problems, but are usually a fun and exciting read. Her shining moments include the conversations between the girls when they are drunk. In this novel, she could even do that successfully; it felt forced and repetitive. Proby already created the story of Montgomery's and basically riding with it now. She has one more novel left and it better be good because I may stop reading her material.
She introduces her new series at the end and I believe she has too many projects. Clearly she can't handle them. Her first few novels got 500+ reviews and this one may not even hit 100. I am only this harsh because I expect so much more from her. I hope the last one is significantly better.

I have read all the other books in this series and enjoyed them. This one was a huge disappointment. There was no story - just pages and pages of sex scenes that I skipped. Meredith was beyond annoying. What Mark saw in her baffles me. I live in Seattle and like reading books that are based here, but I wish authors would do their research - the house on the coast??? I agree with the other reviewers that this series has run out of steam. That's too bad because Nat, Jules and Meg were great characters. Maybe the last one will be better - hope so.

Mark Williams and Meredith Summers were perfect together as teenagers, sharing many firsts and were totally in love. But their timing was all off and it turned to heart break. Ten years later she is back home and building a new life and their paths finally cross again. Neither of them really ever moved on.
“There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life to just touch you one more time.”
Once reunited, they quickly regain their affection, connection, and chemistry and soon they are right back together and falling back in love. But they have grown up and changed, and both have trust issues, fears, and insecurities.
Mark was completely swoony. He was devoted, loving, sexy, funny, and charming. I could not help but love him. He was very involved with his family and friends and just such a good guy.
"What is it with the Williams' men? You're all so freaking mushy." (Jules)
Meredith was sassy, talented, and caring. But she did really make a controversial choice when they were younger that changed both of their lives. I will admit, I kind of held it against it for a bit. But she was really likable too. And she was still dealing with her own issues of loss and fear.
Together they were soul mates that got a second chance at love and following their dreams. They had an easy rapport and just seemed to fit.
"I love you so much it hurts to breathe, Meredith."
I loved Meredith's outrageous best friend, Jax and his significant other, Logan. They were dynamic, supportive, and so much fun. Throwing them in with the women was hilarious.Read more ›

It would be a challenge of epic proportions to choose which of the With Me in Seattle stories would be your favorite amongst them all and as there is one more coming out in the fall you may have to delay the inevitable . I had always thought the Come Away with Me was my fav, I love Luke and Natalie but I think that Mark and Mer are my very favorite after reading their story. Like Luke Mark is romantic, sexy, and strong. Met was his high school love but she went away to live her dream of dancing. I won't divulge spoilers because this is a story and love affair you need to read and experience all by yourself! ❤️❤️❤️ Kristen Proby has a beautiful way writing these stories...every one of them and I'm so glad she has. I find that sometimes when there is are multiple players in these stories there is one maybe two of them that just don't catch your attention and heart and you just so t care what happens to them, but with this series I wanted, no, needed to find out what happens and who they love Nd what their story is! Almost every chapter is full of gooey, wonderful, loving, romantic and honest feelings from Mark and Mer that it makes you feel so good reading it! I wanted to step inside their lives and just be someone in the story... crazy I know but that's how I felt reading this story. Please buy this story , and if you haven't already get them all it is so worth it! I'm looking forward to meeting the lady that captures Dominic's heart in Forever With Me, he is the last Montgomery to have his heart taken! Since he's sooo European I'll be expecting some very Sexy decadent love making/sexy times with him! Below my star, hotness, and I'll add a so much "heart" rating to this ... cause I felt all that heart in this story! ENJOY! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 x a gazillion 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 x a billion (because the heart stuff was just as sexy!) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️x a gazillion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
