Kiril is a Dragon King and has sworn to protect all of mankind. It is becoming more difficult to stay hidden from human eyes with the development of technology and its use by them. The Dark Fae has aligned themselves with MI5 and a banished dragon king that wants to destroy all of mankind and the dragon kings. It is a perilous time for everyone especially the kings who are under siege by these forces. This is Kiril's mission, to find Rhi a Light Fae and rescue her before it is too late and she is turned to the dark side. Shara was born into a Dark Fae family and has always felt that she didn't belong. She has spent the last six hundred years in a virtual prison because of her actions. Her family has agreed to give her one last chance to prove herself worthy of being a part of them. The job she is given is to seduce and help capture the Dragon King, Kiril. When Shara sees Kiril the attraction is immediate and she is confused by the feelings that run rampant within her.
Shara is trapped between not wanting to help capture Kiril a Dragon King and her family who will kill her if she doesn't succeed in trapping him. She knows that if she stays with her family that her brother will either kill her or give her to another Dark Fae as a mate. Shara wants to choose her own destiny and not be controlled by anyone. I loved Burning Fire! This is the third book in Donna Grant's Dragon Kings Series and each book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them in order. Donna Grant's Dragon Kings Series is a unique and exciting paranormal world that capture and holds the reader's attention. I'm in love with all the sexy Scottish Dragon Kings. This new addition in the series is Dragon King, Kiril, and Dark Fae, Shara's story. The Dragon Kings and Dark Fae are enemies so this story had a lot of conflicting emotions. Kiril and Shara's story is full of danger, intrigue, mystery and sizzling romance. I was captivated! I highly recommend this series for paranormal romance lovers. I love them all and can't wait for the next book.

To learn as much as he can without being caught by the evil beings, but what Kiril doesn't plan for is the alluring sensual Shara Blackwood to appear and calm the beast within. With the Dark closing in and Shara torn between her dragon king and her dark fae family, things heat up and emotions are sizzling, Donna Grant delivers one amazing story and still manages to keep some secrets for the next Installment in this captivating series.

This is the 3rd book in the Dark King series. We first met the Dragon Kings in one of the final books of the Dark Sword/Dark Warrior books. There is an ongoing plot line through out the Dark Kings series, but, even if you have not read any of the other books, there is enough back story told through out the book that you don't need to read the rest of the books. I would recommend that you read them in order, but, again, you don't have to.
Kiril is a Dragon King. He has lived for millennia. And he has kept secret what he is for all that time, too. Because, what would happen if humans knew that dragons walked among us? And what would happen if one of those dragons were caught? So that Dragon Kings stay hidden in plain sight at the distillery that they own. BUT, someone wants to expose them...Could it be Ulrik, the Dragon King who was stripped of his powers, so many years ago? Could it be the Dark Fae, who hate the Dragon Kings with a passion? Or is it MI5, the arm of British Intelligence? Or is it a combination of all three?
Shara Blackwood, is from one of the most powerful Dark Fae families. Confined to her room for 6 hundred years by her father, for showing compassion to human captives of the Dark Fae. She has finally been let out of her prison, only if she does this "job" for her family. Her job? Seduce Kiril, so that the Dark Fae can torture him for the whereabouts of something secret that the first King of the Dragon Kings hid away.
