Review

''Their work has been regarded as some of the premiere titles that have led the way for this growing phenomenon of gritty tales.'' --Urban Book Source, praise for the authors --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

About the Author

New York Times bestselling authors Ashley & JaQuavis hit the scene at the age of seventeen. Born and raised in the most notorious neighborhoods of Flint, Michigan, it was only natural for the pair to write about the street life they knew all too well. During their freshmen year in college they received national publishing deals.

In Murderville (1), the authors gave us Ashai; a boy every girl wants and a man that every woman needs. He was the root of the story and he made Murderville what it was; a love story. He was the main character, to me. Liberty was always very naive, if she weren't she would've never worked in that whore house where she was sold off to Samad. If the authors wanted to portray her as some strong, independent woman, she would've never got into the limo with that lady ( forgot her name) where Liberty got on her knees and ate her p*$$* for fancy clothes and shoes. She would've lived on the streets, went through the struggle and then came out on top.

Liberty has always been weak in my opinion. To trust a man like Po, who you don't even know, who to start, rescues her from danger, then puts her back in the hands of danger. Then stays with him??? I never liked Po and never will. The disrespect alone is enough to not give him a chance. The bathroom chapter with the other woman in the shower was all I could take. Hopefully he becomes a dope head and just dies in the beginning of part 3.

I have no idea how the authors will spin this. Part 2 is lacking everything that part 1 has. Love, loyalty, passion and pain. Instead we read about a nobody drug dealer with a couple hundred thousands to his name, who was handed the life of a multi millionaire to live, who has yet to even bust his own gun through the entire book. Po's reign is handed to him on a silver platter. He goes from being robbed to a Boss; overnight. Po is portrayed as a king when really he's a user and a punk and if it weren't for Liberty, he wouldn't have any of it, but this punk chooses to turn his back on her for an obvious snake. I'm guessing the authors wanted us readers to dislike Po, right?

I normally don't write reviews but I just had to comment on this book. I love all of A&J's books BUT I have to say I have mixed feelings on part two of this trilogy. First off the "to be continued" seems to be the new thing with these urban arthors and it's getting old, especially when you have to wait a year for the follow up book. As far as this book I absolutely hated the way Liberty was portrayed as naive and just plain dumb. They gave Dahlia too much power and that turned me off, especially the way she seemed to effortlessly manipulate all these supposedly powerful men. The book was really about Dahlia and that was really disappointing. Po could never measure up to the man Ashai was...he did Liberty dirty and I did not understand why he was put in her life after having a real man like Ashai in book 1. BTW what happened to Baron? Is he still in Mexico?...so many unanswered questions. I have to admit I gave this book 3 stars based on the reputation of A&J's previous books and because it kept my attention captive. I love A&J...but this one (smh) was disappointing (especially the end) p.s. pls don't make us wait forever for the next one...

Let me say I bought the book first thing this morning and I am mad that I am done already. WOW, Suspense, Love, Deceit, Heartbreak, Greed, Lust, and more. Murderville 2 picks up right were part one left off. Liberty is alive with a new heart. The love of her life is gone and Samaad is still looking for her. As chance would have it she meets Po. Po has just lost the love of his life when uncontrollable circumstances would have it that he saves the life of a beautiful women and life happens. Liberty and Po connect on so many levels that you question if it's fate, are they soul mates. Have their lost loves pushed them together. Whatever the attraction you fall in love with them being in love. Until the Devil disguised as Liberty's lost cousin Dahlia comes into the picture. Team A&J have done it again, they have me hooked on another trilogy. This book sent me on an emotional helicopter and left me with so many unanswered questions. I hope you two are working on part 3 cause I can't take the suspense. Great Book as always, you all have yet to let me down. Just please don't make me wait too long. :)

Again I love A & J. Let me be the first to say that but this is the 2nd book I've bought from them this year that I'm disappointed in. The first being Cartel 4 and now this one. This book made me so mad. What was the point of bringing Po into Liberty life only to have her hurt and deserted. So disappointing. Then you bring her only living relative that she was close with as a child into the picture and she's nothing more than a backstabbing broad. You hand her all the power and leave poor Liberty with nothing. Po becomes the weakest man alive and it goes on and on. Since you guys are so into bringing people from the dead (Miamor & Money in the Cartel 4) how about you bring A'shai back so Liberty can have a chance at real happiness. Po surely doesn't deserve Liberty and I hope you dont plan on putting them back together in the next book. One final note you guys are giving Dahlia's vagina way too much power. I just dont believe it. Smh.
