I loved Dare to Desire. Alex and Madison had a good thing until Alex got hurt on the football field and pushed her away. Once he has time to recover and come to terms with his injury he realizes that he needs Madison. She is not willing to be hurt again. Alex and Madison have to work together and Alex plans to win Madison back. Their chemistry is undeniable but both have issues to work through. It was a great read and now I can't wait for the next one. I am never disappointed in a Carly Phillips book.

I love this series. There is so much going on with all of the books. There are the family relations, the couple relations, the past relations, it's got everything! I can't wait for the next book in the series, this has really become a favorite of mine!

Book two in the Dare to Love series will not disappoint. In fact, when I finished, I immediately went ahead and ordered book 3. Alex got his heart little bruised in book 1 and this was his reward. Madison has trust issues that Alex certainly doesn't ease but, with the meddling of friends and family, they are able to overcome. Carly Phillips has a way with the powers of attraction and making it believable.

Alex Dare was a major player--both in football and in the bedroom. Madison Evans totally had his number, and managed to resist his charms--for a while. Once she gave in to their undeniable chemistry, she found herself cautiously optimistic about their chances.
Until Alex's career-ending injury changed everything.
(Seriously. Thanksgivings have to be a total downer for the guy from now on--so not fair.)
A new, bitter Alex pushes everyone away--and it works, with everyone but his family. His best friend and new sister-in-law Riley seizes a chance to help him get his life back on track by helping others with a new pilot program that will assist athletes prepare for their lives after football before their careers are over. The catch? He has to work closely with Madison, whose heart he shredded last November.
This was such a satisfying read! I loved watching Alex develop back into more of the down-to-earth guy he was before he became the playboy quarterback, and seeing Madison slowly grow to trust him again. Alex and Ian's relationship too made some major strides--they're not going to be giving each other mani-pedis anytime soon, but it was nice to see them start to work through their issues together.
A trip to NYC gives us a glimpse of Gabe, the cousin who will star in book three. I am loving this series!

4 stars for a sweet and sexy story!
Madison broke her rule by allowing herself to get involved with playboy quarterback Alex Dare. Even though she knew their relationship was supposed to remain casual, it didn't stop her heart from being broken when he dumped her after a career ending injury.
Flash forward six months and Alex is now realizing he may have let his chance for true love get away and he doesn't mind working to get it back. Problem is, Madison is even more on guard this time. After being abandoned as a child and being passed from foster home to foster home, she can't take another disappointment. When the two are forced to work together on a project, Madison tries to protest her heart but with a man like Alex... all bets are off.
I definitely enjoyed this book. It's a light read and super sexy. Carly has a nice flow to her writing and I really liked the dual POV. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. You'll get more out of the secondary characters if you read the books in order.
I'd say perhaps the story was a bit too fast paced for me and the sex scenes were very redundant. Otherwise, I think anyone who wants a fast read with low angst and lots of sexy time will enjoy this book.
