Victoria Ashley grew up in Rockford, IL and has had a passion for reading for as long as she can remember. After finding a reading app where it allowed readers to upload their own stories, she gave it a shot and writing became her passion.
She lives for a good romance book with bad boys that are just highly misunderstood and is not afraid to be caught crying during a good read. When she's not reading or writing about bad boys, you can find her watching her favorite shows such as Sons Of Anarchy, Dexter and True Blood.
She is the author of Wake Up Call and This Regret and is currently working on more works for 2014.
Slade (Walk Of Shame #1) is due for release June 3rd 2014

When I first read the synopsis for this book it peaked my interest. I thought it was going to be a fun and light read. I did not at all expect what I got. Like a rose he blooms...
When I first started digging into this book I was introduced to Slade. Slade is a sex addict or well, by standard definition from the female population. I wouldn't classify it in the actual state of a mental illness. There were times reading through his introduction as a stripper at Walk of shame I had these amazing visuals of one hot hunk of a man grinding on my body, slumped down in a fold out chair like the one in the image above. There were times I had to fan myself, times I thought HOLY HELL WHERE IS MY BOYFRIEND WHEN I NEED HIM, and other times where I branded to my female version of a spank bank the images that were floating around in my head as I was reading. DON'T JUDGE AND DON'T ACT LIKE YOU AREN'T DOING THE SAME, AHEM. I promise not to tell.
Just when I finally get past the fact that I have this amazing visual of a sex stud muffin grinding away for the women he has to open his mouth...
Can I just say sometimes a filthy mouth on a man is all we need. I read this line and immediately I was like OH. MY. HELL... damn you, Slade.. Now for me, I love a man that can talk dirty. Take Hero first meets heroine. Sometimes it tends to be boring... Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, girl becomes sickly in love with boy. Well, insert Aspen and Slade... Slade sees Aspen, Slade walks over to Aspen almost naked, Slade asks Aspen to touch his cock... talk about getting a case of the smut and I love it whip lash.. S*** that was hot.. and this is why I love my book boyfriends.Read more ›

Slade is an addictive person. He trades one addiction for another, but that's no known. Everyone thinks he's just a man-whore without knowing the reason. He doesn't let people in. Instead he uses sex and alcohol to cope. All the women want their turn, but they only get one.
Enter Aspen...
She's beautiful. She's tempting. She's telling him NO.
Women don't tell him NO. It's something new and he doesn't like it. He's wildly attracted to her and she is just as attracted to him, but won't give it a chance. The temptation is there for Aspen, but she knows it won't be something easy to walk away from IF she gives in, WHEN she gives in.
Slade and Aspen make fabulous dance partners and they do a grueling waltz around each other and their desires. All around them see it and the build up to the store works perfectly. There is just enough hints given in the story to let the reader know that there is more at play. When all is revealed you can't help but feel bad for Slade and want to slap Aspen. You know how they say beauty and brains don't mix? Jay would be her proof of that. I had him figured out from the first phone call.
The pace of this book flows perfectly. Walk Of Shame is a wild place and has plenty of crazy moments. Expect lot of holy wow descriptive parts. This was a good length book and thank goodness has no cliff-hanger. It gives us a hint of a sequel as Cade's story is untold.
I give this book 5 stars. I hope to read the other men's stories and maybe some of the girls. Victoria Ashley has the beginning to a great series in the making. Slade may have been the star, but he has a great support cast!

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I'm so glad that I took a chance on this book.Yes, I have to admit that the cover caught my eye and also the description of the book. Okay more the cover than the description. But I have to say that this was a very very good book. The book starts off really hot and then is stays that way. This book is about Slade and Aspen. How to describe them. Well I would say that they each have issues and don't know how to deal with them until they meet each other. Boy when they meet. OH WOW is all I can say. From the moment. When they meet and start talking. You can just feel the sexually tension between them. It just keeps on building. Then when it happens. OMG what a scene that is. That is all I'm going to say about that. But they do learn about each other and there problems they are hiding from people. Not going to tell you how it ends. So that means you will have to buy the book and read it to find out what happens. But is it a really good book. Can not wait for the next book to come out. So get the book and enjoy. I know I did. Happy Reading

Yummy-Just the wow factor-Amazing! This was a fantastic read and my first Victoria Ashley book. You better believe I'm going to read many, many more of her books. The main (HOT) character, Slade is..well to be blunt...a man whore. You want to hate him, but there is something about him and his cocky attitude that draws you in. He's a mystery, yet just delicious. Now Aspen, the main female character is adorable and you can relate to her so easily and she is mystified by "Mr. Sex." (As she names him.) The banter between these two is humorous and she knows how to put him in his place. I'm not going to provide a long summary of the story...Just trust me and don't hesitate to read this one. HEA=Yes! Did I hide away in my house and try to ignore my kids=Yes! Chemistry of the charts? Oh...YES! There will be another Walk of Shame book, but it will be about another male character in the story. I can't wait for that one!
