I read the entire book quickly the first time and a few weeks later reread it because I realized that the author had said things that I hadn't fully comprehended the first time. I realize now that I needed time to digest and reflect on her message. After thinking more deeply about it over time, I was glad I had reread with the intent to gain greater understanding. This first-time writing and publishing of the book has a few minor compositional errors. I can tell that the author really wanted to get the message out as soon as she got the divine "okay" to do so and that this may have contributed to those few errors. But the message is substantial and one ought to understand that the author is not an accomplished writer but rather a normal human being who had a real experience that she is trying to share because the message is so important.
I have no doubts that Julie Rowe is an honest person telling an honest account of her NDE (Near Death Experience). I have read many of these types of NDE books and find her account to be very compelling and worthwhile to read. If you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you will find her account details a little easier to relate to. But, I believe also, any Christian or Non-christian will have an easy time gaining many insights from the message she shares. Simply stated (without trying to give away too much from the book), the author gives the reader spiritual accounts of key historical events she saw. She gives details about many aspects of current and future events that will affect our lives. She also brings to light how things will unfold in the world and some things we can do to be better prepared.Read more ›

For more validation, read Sarah Menet's "There Is No Death" and John Pontius' "Visions of Glory". God is warning everyone--all Christians--anyone who will listen, and doing it in a way that won't induce mass panic (if, say, an LDS General Authority or the Pope made these claims). This book differs from similar works in that Julie testifies as if under strict orders about what to say (and what not to say), with no speculation. I take her at her word. Thanks for delivering the message, Julie.

I don't feel like I can write a "review" of this book because it is an account of an experience. It isn't meant to be a scholarly work or entertainment. Yes, there are typos, but who seriously cares? Really? She wasn't meant to give the writing her personality, or make it lively. It is a description of what is to come and the many levels of preparedness that everyone needs to be ready for. It isn't doomsday, it is simply what is going to happen. Exciting times! (I think ;) )
In Julie's NDE she was shown the history of the world from the creation to the end.
While reading the first half of the book, I so wished I could see the things she was shown, amazing. I wept a few times for the wonder of witnessing it and for a testimony of it. The second half, um, not so much. ;) Seeing the violence, destruction and corruption of the times wouldn't be a fun thing to see. The scripture stories she chose to write about were included for a reason; they are a hint of what kinds of things to prepare for. As you read it, look for those clues. They are purposeful.
She wasn't supposed to tell of this experience until now. What a weight to carry! I pray that she keeps it up as I'm sure she will have her share of opposition. Thank you Julie for your courage and strength!

I really enjoyed this book! It is written to clearly convey information without going into too much detail. It is not meant to be a literary novel. A lot of reviews have complained about the writing, which is unfortunate, because it is not meant to be a literary novel. She said in her interview with Mills Crenshaw that she was specifically instructed by the Spirit to leave her personality out of it, and so that is the perspective that from which she wrote it. I am very grateful for the instruction she received to share this, and the willingness she had to obey that instruction. I feel that each person can read the book and glean, through the Spirit, the information that they need for their family. I know that I received strong witnesses about specific preparations that our family needed to take care of. NOTE: By my saying that, please don't get all worked up and say, "There is a Prophet for that. If we needed specific preparations, the Prophet would tell us." I wholeheartedly support the Prophet. And what he has been teaching us, as all the brethren have, is to learn how to qualify for, receive and act upon personal revelation. If I know anything about personal revelation, I know that when I read this book, and prayed about what I read, the Spirit taught me about preparations that I need to make. I am grateful for that direction. If I only waited for what Pres. Monson was saying directly from the pulpit, I would be limiting other revelation available to me. I fully understand that the revelation I received does not apply to everyone else. It is just for me and my stewardship. So I don't look at someone else and think, "You should be doing what I'm doing...". Revelation like that only comes from the Prophet.Read more ›
