"With a fresh, charming installment in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series, Ferrell returns readers to 1860s Oregon, tackling matters of faith, family, and forgiveness.... This tender tale reinforces recognition of the necessity of trust and the unbreakable bond of family."
(Publisher's Weekly 2014-08-25)
"Ferrell's tale is Western historical romance at its best with well-thought-out characters who will do what they must to keep their livelihood out of the bank's clutches. The details of the landscape enhances the plot and readers are treated to an enjoyable read. Ferrell is a talented author who brings readers a sweet love story with surprises throughout. A wonderful addition to the series."

About the Author
Miralee Ferrell is the author of The Other Daughter and the Love Finds You series, which includes the award-winning novel Love Finds You in Sundance, WY. She and her husband live on eleven acres in southern Washington State, where they love to garden, sail, ride horses, and visit with their children and grandchildren.
I love life, love my family, love writing Christian fiction--reading, riding my horse and puttering in my garden are all ways I relax. I often have my little 6 lb Chihuahua, Lacey, on my lap when I'm working--there's nothing like a warm ball of love on your lap to act as a stress reliever!
First and foremost I'm a child of God and daughter of the King. I've been involved in women's ministries for years, and serve on staff at our small church. I'm married to a wonderful man, have two grown children, two cats, two dogs, 10 chickens and ride my son-in-law's Arabian mare since my old mare passed in 2013. We live about 9 miles from the nearest town on 11 acres, in a peaceful setting surrounded by trees.
I started writing shortly after I turned 50, and discovered I loved it so much I don't want to stop. I have 11 books out & four more releasing in 2015, a four book set of horse novels for middle-grade girls. I write both women's contemporary fiction, historical romance and horse novels for girls. One of my Western romances, Love Finds You in Sundance, WY, was awarded the Will Rogers Medallion for Western Fiction, and Blowing on Dandelions, book one in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series, made the ECPA best seller list in 2013.
It's great to return to Baker City, Oregon in 1881 for the story of Leah Carlson and Steven Harding - and also reunite with previous characters from Miralee Ferrell's Love Blossoms in Oregon series: Katherine and Micah, Beth and Jeffery, Beth's aunt Wilma Roberts, and Katherine's mother, Frances Cooper. In fact, I think Wilma and Frances are two of the most colorful and intriguing characters I've come across in a long time. They are a perfect example of how a deep friendship can grow between two people who, on the surface, seem unlikely ever to connect.
Readers of the series might remember Leah from the quilting circle in book one, Blowing on Dandelions, and Steven is Beth's brother who we met in book two, Wishing on Buttercups. One of the best things about a series is that we can reconnect with beloved characters and see how they are doing, but also be introduced to new characters and storylines. I was immediately drawn to Steven and Leah, who are so easy to identify with, and loved the sweet romance between them. Miralee never fails to deliver an interesting storyline, a setting you can easily imagine, character depth, and strong spiritual themes.
Dreaming on Daisies is thoroughly entertaining as a historical romance, while successfully incorporating serious themes at the same time - the pain of alcohol addiction, abandonment, depression, pride, deceit, a child's feelings of being unloved. I also appreciated that while many books are simply written from a Christian worldview, Miralee is always able to gently bring in the sweet gospel message.
One thought in the narrative really jumped out at me, and that is the idea that someone can be physically present, yet absent from the relationship.Read more ›

Dreaming on Daisies, the third book in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series, is about Leah Carlson who we first met briefly in book one where she was a member of Katherine's quilting circle. When I first learned she was getting her own story I was excited to learn more about the mysterious Leah. One thing I didn't expect from Leah's character, but was very pleased by, was her strength and determination. She has the ability to get things done and she succeeds at the tasks set before her. She almost single-handedly ran the ranch because of her father's own human weaknesses but, at the same time she was vulnerable and had some serious trust issues when it came to men. She was the type of heroine I look for in a book, rugged yet feminine.
Steven Harding was introduced in book two where he was reunited with his sister Beth. After Beth being separated from Steven and their mother at a young age, they have a lot of catching up to do but it leads to some very difficult feelings of being excluded on Steven's part. Because of it a little envy and jealousy spring forth. But with God's help both Leah and Steven work through their issues and a sweet romance develops.
What do I love most about this book? With Dreaming on Daisies, just like books one and two, I really identified with the main character. Leah's father had a very common human weakness that made him a slave, so to speak, and unable to keep up with his duties on the ranch and be a proper father to Leah. When I was a child I WAS Leah because my dad had the same weakness. I feel many readers will identify with her story as well and learn how to better cope through the message this books conveys.Read more ›

Sometimes love and healing spring up from the most unlikely of places.
At age 23, Leah Carlson has experienced more than her share of heartache. After her mother's death nine years earlier, her father spiraled into alcoholism and her brother fled. Since then, Leah has worked herself to the bone to maintain the family's ranch and to keep her desolation and fear of abandonment from bubbling over, but her situation is quickly coming to a head, and she must face the truth or risk drowning in the aftermath.
Steven Harding, a relative newcomer to Baker City, Oregon, has a good job at the bank and has overseen the reunion of his family. However, his well-hidden issues of bitterness and loss continue to plague him. Uncertain of what his future holds, he returns to his roots by taking a side job at Pape's ranch. As he struggles to come to terms with his own past, he realizes that he must begin to determine the direction of his future, as well. Is it possible for the Lord to bring healing and renewal after so many years--and, more importantly, are Leah and Steven prepared to receive it?
In this third novel of the "Love Blossoms in Oregon" series, Miralee Ferrell again demonstrates her uncanny ability to interweave historical fiction with contemporary reality. She illuminates issues that are timeless in their ability to impact and bring hope to the lives of those suffering from the pain of addiction, depression, abandonment, and more, all while building characters who are believable and familiar. "Dreaming on Daisies" can be read as a standalone story, but it does bring the trilogy full-circle and allows readers to see the growth of former characters as they combine seamlessly into a communal whole. This series will bless and inspire all adult readers, offering true compassion, understanding, and ultimately triumph to a world in desperate need.
