From Booklist

St. Louis librarian Laura knows that things have not been going well between her half-sister, Darcy, and herself, but she never thought Darcy would run away. Panic-stricken as a blizzard sweeps through the city, Laura turns to private investigator James “Dev” Devlin for help in finding Darcy before it is too late. In the second in Hannon’s Private Justice series, following Vanished (2013), the icy cold snowstorm won’t be the only thing giving readers the shivers as RITA and Carol Award–winning Hannon once again demonstrates her mastery at crafting spine-tingling romantic thrillers that, without graphic violence and language, utterly enthrall readers. --John Charles

I've read all of Irene Hannon's suspense novels to date and, while I loved most of them, I have to say Trapped is my favorite so far! The book was just so intense and chilling!!

The suspense started early on in Trapped and, because of certain circumstances, I didn't know if the author would be able to keep the intensity throughout the entire story, but she did and the last few chapters were oh, so intense!

The characters in Trapped were fabulous! I loved all of the people from Phoenix Inc. Dev was a great hero and I loved the close friendship of Dev, Cal, and Connor - that was a moving element to the story (especially towards the end). Also, all the bantering/ribbing between Cal, Connor, Nikki, and Dev was just so funny and made for some entertaining scenes. :)

Overall, I loved Trapped! It made my "favorites'" shelf and I can hardly wait to read Deceived (book three) when it releases. I recommend Trapped if you enjoy suspense novels with some romance and creepiness.

Such an amazing book! I could not stop reading and I didn't except for devotions, sleep, and church! As it started I wasn't sure how the author was going to get a whole story out of a runaway teen but I never should have doubted the amazing Irene Hannon! The plot was so good and perfectly planned out to keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time!
I loved Dev in Vanished so I was really happy to read his story. He was an awesome hero that was funny and kind while at the same time being serious and strong. I loved how he didn't sugar coat things for Laura or try to give her false hope. And Laura was a great heroine too! I loved how she never gave up on her sister even though they didn't get along very well and she had runaway. A lot of people would have just let her go and gone on with their lives and I was impressed with Laura's tenacity. It was also great to have more of Cal, Conner, and Nikki in this book since they are such fun! I love they dynamic of the three guys and Nikki! Their joking and razzing each other cracked me up.
So all in all another awesome book from an extremely talented author!

I received an e-book copy of this book free from the publisher in exchange for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Oh my word. Trapped! Three words: I loved it!

I fell in love with Irene Hannon's romantic suspense novels a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. While I go into her books knowing (1) who is going to fall in love and (2) that everything is going to turn out okay, I'm always curious as to how she's going to get me to that wonderful "happily ever after." And what a journey Trapped was!

I was hooked on Dev from the very beginning. He was so intriguing with a mysterious tragedy in his past and a "good guy" vibe. His work ethic combined with his determination to follow the "house rules" despite his interest in Laura were admirable traits. And of course his gentlemanly behavior was a plus as well. Laura was a sweet girl and I loved that there were more layers to her than we saw at first meeting. She had plenty of gumption and I admired her strong will and determination to find Darcy. I loved reading about two strong characters that were determined not to let situations in their past hold them back, which is a change from many of the books out there where at least one of the characters has major struggles to overcome.

I will admit that the suspense started off a little slow. Somehow, though, Hannon wrote in such a way that I was hooked in spite of that. I just had to keep reading. About halfway through, the suspense really picked up and it was a fast-paced ride from there!

All in all, this was a great book. The hero was charming. The mystery was interesting. The bad guy was suitably creepy. The plot gained momentum as it went. And the romance was so sweet. I'm happy to recommend this book! [5 stars]

I received a free copy of this book from Revell in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Irene Hannon in her new book "Trapped" Book Two in the Private Justice series published by Revell Books takes us into the lives of Laura Griffith and James Devlin

In her latest thrilling read, queen of romantic suspense Irene Hannon outdoes herself with a fast-paced tale of fear, deception, and just the right dose of romance.

Whenever I see Irene Hannon's name on a book I know that I am in for a very exciting read. And with "Trapped" I think she far outshines in the excitement category. I think this is Ms. Hannon's best work so far, she just keeps getting better and better. As soon as you say search and rescue to me the story takes on a new level of danger. The search is on to find Laura's sister and finding her is not going to be easy especially with the storm coming. All of the characters are so well written you begin to think that you have known them all your life and you certainly want them to succeed. With "Trapped" Ms. Hannon has given us a thriller that becomes more and more exciting until the last hundred pages which is an extremely wild ride.
