I loved Hemy! I was glued to every page, I'm so interested in their world. I was happy to have seen previous characters, I love this series and Victoria's writing is absolutely stunning.
Hemy lost the love of his life Onyx when he couldn't cope with his past. So when he sees Onyx back in town after years of being gone, he takes the opportunity to try to prove to her that he's changed and wants her back at all costs.
I love the way that he did everything in his power to get her back. His determination was admirable, he came a long way. He's damaged and learning about his past really broke my heart. Hemy is different from Slade because he was already in love with Onyx when he was pursuing her again. Not to mention that they're both smoking hot! I loved them both but they're different. Hemy was a romantic and determined to get Onyx to fall for him again. Slade hadn't fallen in love yet.
The twist I did not see coming, I think that's the best way to do it cause I was surprised.
I was happy to see older characters and I want to know more about the new ones. I can't wait for the next book.

Hemy is hot, no doubt, and he has women falling at his feet and some men too. There's a lot of sex starting out, and it's not your typical kind of sex there's some kink in there so turn up the air conditioner because it's about to get hot! Hemy has a horrible past that I'm still not sure if he has fully dealt with and things happened that aren't totally clear but we get the gist that it was pretty messed up. When Onyx and Hemy were together long ago, they were just kids and Hemy had no clue how to deal with the pain of his past thus loosing Onyx. Now that she is back he is going to do what he has to do to win her back and never let her go again. Onyx has changed, and it's the same person she once was but there is no doubt Hemy still has an affect on her. She tries to fight off his advances, but her heart wants what it wants. Just when Hemy thinks he won the battle for her heart a bomb is dropped, and he is hurt that she kept something so important from him. Now the question is can he forgive her? Lots of hot, steamy, raunchy sex.

OMG...Oh my God...how many times can I say this before it gets old...never enough times! This book was just a panty-melter...hell no, it was a panty blowtorch...and I'm talking you will never find them again because they have disintegrated on impact...LOL!
Hemy was such a bad boy, even more so than the rest of the guys...he had no issues with getting laid and getting off with whoever turned him on. Male or female...it was all good if the end result was a massive orgasmic...well you get the picture. Unfortunately for him, his hard partying ways and heavy substance abuse of all kinds, left him vulnerable to get caught in situations that he could not just explain away to Onyx, the woman he was in love with, but was too immature to admit to yet.
After Onyx leaves him heartbroken and thrown into a depression that he drowns in more activities designed to sex away the pain, his life takes a sharp turn when his past comes back to knock him back on his ass and makes him take a long, hard look at his future. Weighing heavily on Hemy's mind has always been the loss of his little sister after their abusive childhood had them separated and she all but disappeared from sight.
