This is the third book to a wonderful Trilogy. Philip the last of the Quinn brothers finds his true love. All the loose ends are finally tied up. Is Seth really Ray Quinn's son? This is revealed in this installment. This was the best, the most intense and most emotional of all three books.
Phillip Quinn, a high powered ad exec living in Baltimore and the last of the Quinn brothers still single. The Quinn family saved him from a life a crime of theft and street running when he was a boy.
Sybil needs to find the little boy she remembers from 6 long years ago before things completely fall apart. Did the Quinn's really steal Seth from his mother? Who were these people? Sybil is about to find out. She is on a personal mission and when she sees him, things aren't what they seem. The Quinn brothers are gentle with him and seem to love him. Then she seems to fall for Phillip. When her identity is revealed, the tenuous grip she has on him falls apart as she now must defend herself against the protective family and find the truth.
Can Phillip trust her knowing who she is? Can he look past it to find love? Can they together save Seth from an uncaring mother who wants him for money? Sybil finds out that blood can indeed be thicker than water.
Great Trilogy read each installment in order and you will be very delighted!

I wouldn't recommend anyone read Inner Harbor without first reading Sea Swept and Rising Tides as they all tie in together. While the trilogy is about three brothers (Cameron, Ethan & Phillip) Seth, the youngest brother's story begins in Sea Swept and ends in Inner Harbor. Reading only the first or second book of this series will leave many questions unanswered. I found I enjoyed Inner Harbor the most. Not only because everything is settled in this book but because I found the chemistry between Phillip and Sybill outstanding. Even when his brothers (mostly Cameron) were angry with her, he gave her the benefit of the doubt to hear her out. To me, although she wasn't what she portrayed to be in the beginning, she unselfishly wanted only the best for Seth. I have also read the "Born In.." and the "Dream.." series by Nora Roberts but I think she outdid herself with this one. I've read the last couple pages of Inner Harbor over and over because I loved the ending.

Phillip Quinn has made something of himself. He is an educated accountant and has a high profile job that he loves. He struggles daily to keep a balance between the life he built for himself and the promise to his family to be there for Seth.
Sybil Griffin shows up claiming to be doing research for a new book, but then it comes out that she is in fact Seth's biological aunt. That puts the family on notice. The brothers know that she could claim Seth and destroy the family that they have lovingly put together.
Phillip is used to women falling at his feet, but when he meets Sybil he is hooked. When he finds our about her deception, he tries to resolve his feelings for her and still be loyal to the family. It has taken the four brothers a long time to build their lives and to become a family, and as Sybil begins to see this, she sides with them.

This is one of Nora Robert's best. I was captivated by this trilogy the story of these 4 wonderful brothers and how they come together in a time of need. I loved all three of the book but Inner Harbor was truly my favorite. I fell in love with Philip just as Sybill did. He is handsome, successful, smart and bad boy all rolled into one. Nora Roberts has a way of appealing to her audience by putting you right there in the story with the characters. A must read!

This was by far my favorite in the Chesapeake trilogy. Phillip was my favorite character all along..and I wasn't disappointed here. He never forgot why he was the man he was..or the man he could have become if it hadn't been for Ray and Stella Quinn. That he never questioned the promise he made to his dying father...just that it would be done.
Phillip seemed the most well-rounded of the Quinn men. I loved seeing him reconcile the life he had made for himself with the life he had to accept to keep his promise to his father.
His attraction to Sybil was in keeping with character. Phillip's attraction was as much to her mind as it was phsyical. He truly met his match with her. I loved the way he took it for granted she'd fall for him. She on the other hand wanted to keep her distance from him to complete her reason for being there in St. Chris. Her orderly life amused Phillip and he enjoyed throwing her off balance.
Phillip was a man who took advantage of the second chance the Quinn's gave him. He became an educated, confident man. His one flaw was his own fear of letting people see inside to his deeper emotions.His father put it best "love always was a tough one for you". To see Phillip fighting and ultimately giving in to his feelings for Sybil was great to watch.
Probably my favorite thing tho was the humor. The way he turned Sybil's own words to suit himself. His calling his brothers "peasants", his "run away with me" speel that he used on all the women.
All in all I thing Nora Roberts saved the best for last in this series. Phillip's story was second chances,humor, romance and the family ties that bind us all, all tied into one great story.
