Sarah M. Eden read her first Jane Austen novel in elementary school and has been an Austen addict ever since. Fascinated by the English Regency era, Eden became a regular in that section of the reference department at her local library, where she painstakingly researched this extraordinary chapter in history. Eden is an award-winning author of short stories and was a Whitney Award finalist for her novels Seeking Persephone and Courting Miss Lancaster. Her other regency novels include: The Kiss of a Stranger, Friends and Foes, An Unlikely Match, Drops of Gold, and Glimmer of Hope.

Absolutely wonderful! I just downloaded it tonight and flew through the entire book in one sitting. I have loved all the books in the Jonquil series and have been waiting, waiting, waiting for this latest installment. It did not disappoint! Sarah's characteristic wit combined with her fluid/effortless writing style and the uplifting values she weaves throughout make for a wonderful read. This is yet another completely clean and very believable romance to her credit.
I loved that characters from her other books made appearances and that Philip and Sorrel's story gets furthered as well (weren't we all wondering at the end of Friends and Foes whether her leg would get better?!!).
This was such a fun read! When Corbin tried to talk to Clara, I had flashbacks to that hilarious old 70's short film, The Phone Call, where the poor teenager can't figure out how to talk to the girl he likes ("what kind of weed killer do you use?") and takes karate classes to bolster his confidence. If you've ever gotten poor advice from friends or family on how to woo the opposite sex, you will be able to empathize with Corbin!
This book can be read without first reading the other books in the series. However, I think it's much more fun to read (in order) Kiss of a Stranger, Friends and Foes, and Drops of Gold prior to reading this latest book, As You Are. To fully appreciate the Duke of Kielder, you should read Seeking Persephone as well.
Awesome job Sarah! Loved it, LOVED IT!!!

I have read every book by Sarah M. Eden, and I have enjoyed them all! However, this one ranks as one of my favorites!! I really thought the character of Corbin was unique...not the suave, confident hero you see in so many regency books, nor the aloof, tortured hero, but, for me, a more realistic man! Sarah's early scenes with Corbin and Clara were cringe-worthy and amusing (to readers), but totally believable. It's kind of refreshing to have characters who get flustered and tongue-tied...honestly, how often do people really banter back and forth without saying something totally embarrassing? I also found the actual romance to be sweet and genuine. I really like the interweaving of story lines and characters from Sarah's stories as well...it makes me want to go back and reread earlier books from Sarah! Very sneaky, Sarah! :)
This is my opinion of course, but I thought this was Sarah's best after Seeking Persephone. Maybe even better. I just read it last night, and I stayed up late to do so, so my brain might still be a little frazzled. I love the clean romance genre...and I think this is a great example of why. I would definitely recommend reading some of Sarah's earlier novels before this one (you might be wondering who people are or why they are acting the way they are acting), but I also believe it isn't totally necessary. This book stands alone as well.

Clara & Corbin were fantastic. The mystery of what troubles might be awaiting Clara were great. I love the silent struggles of Corbin, it melted my heart. And I have to mention that YES the Duke of Kielder makes his mark in the story. I always want more of the Jonquil's, I WILL cry when this all comes to an end! Thank you Mrs. Eden for continuing to write through your trials !

Life feels like a fairy tale after completing one of Sarah's books. This one was no exception. I adored Corbin's character - men in my family tend to be terribly shy and reading about Corbin was almost like peering into the workings of my father/brother/grandfather's minds. Result: adorable. Clara was like all of Sarah's female protagonists in that she had gumption. She was sweet, feminine, and so very, very courageous. If you're a fan of Sarah Eden, you'll love this book. If you're a fan of romances which make your heart flutter and cause you to neglect your life for a couple of hours, you'll love this book.

I love reading all the books in the Jonquil series by Sarah M Eden. This one was just as good as the others and teaches a great moral right along with a good story.

I will blatantly admit that I am a Sarah Eden addict! I especially love this series of books about the Jonquil brothers. This is the 3rd book specifically about them (If you count Crispin it is the 4th! His book is the first, and he is just accepted as one of the family) And this love story is fantastic!
My heart melted for the honest, yet stuttering Corbin. With the large, gentle hands and even bigger heart, and who chooses his words so carefully. I was thoroughly embarrassed by his attempts at following his brothers' advice! Oh, and the frying pan! It is so good to see the honest loving relationship they develop. My heart melted specifically with his interactions with her children.
The Duke of Keilder is one of my favorite characters in her books and it was fabulous to see him again here! Really I am dying to know more about His and Persephone's family!!! I loved that my favorite characters from her other books make appearances...even if only referenced by name.
I know it is only one small page, but, my favorite line is when an almond eyed beauty sweeps into the room smoozing all of the Jonquils present, (and insulting Jason (Corbin's twin))...then introduces herself to Corbin saying "Ahh, Senor Corbin! As you can see, I have met your evil twin!" I can't wait for that book to hit the shelves! And Charlie! I can't wait to see who will win his heart!
I loved this book and read it nearly all the way through in less than 24 hours! I have since read it two more times. Like I said, I am addicted! Sweet, clean, heart rending romance about finding confidence, trust, true love and safety.
