Faith and fallibility and finding our way. I love the way Dave and Neta Jackson develop real characters in credible settings with real life dilemmas. Temptation and frustrations are everywhere in life, and we can choose to hear what we want or dig into the Word and pray with our focus on God, not our circumstances. Having family in Chicago, I heartily relate to the scenes and settings, making this series come to life even more vividly. We all know a family like Greg and Nicole's and the very real issues they face in marriage, family, career and faith. We have a choice how we respond to adversity and temptation, but this book is more about the fact that we always have a choice in how we respond when we wander off our path in life. I love that their books can be read independently, but if you have read the previous books or other series, they are even richer as you really come to know a whole community within a very large city. Thanks for another great read in this series!

I wait not so patiently for the next book from Dave and Neta Jackson. The characters I first started meeting in the Yada Yada series that have grown and multiplied to the folks on Beecham street are like close friends. I am intrigued by the way the Jacksons explore and delve into the experience of each family. In Penny Wise we are introduced briefly to the Singer family through the perspective of the Jasper family. Then, in Pound Foolish, we learn in depth the struggles the Singer's are facing and how God works His purpose out in their lives. All of the Jackson's books are encouraging. If you want gripping, page turning drama that will lift you up and not leave you feeling empty and depressed, read all of the Jackson's books. Pound Foolish does not disappoint!

I am so excited to see this out and the price is AWESOME!!! I will have it read by the end of the week. We all need a reminder of the quiet things God does for us Dave and Neta give us those seeds. Their writing is inspirational and makes you want to go out and do something wonderful. If you need a little boost read Windy City Neighbors series, it is so applicable to everyday life. One of my favorite moments was about the Penny. I have the entire set of Yada Yada Prayer Group and have shared them with many of my "sisters". God can and does amazing things in our lives, but sometimes we need a little reminder - to get out of the way. It can happen to me, if we just let Him!

Spent the weekend reading Pound Foolish and just like every other book by this incredible team - I loved it!!! They touch topics that are relevant to the world we live in and as we get to know the characters we also are inspired to pay closer attention to the world around us and the choices we make. Pride can lead us down a very slippery slope but when we stop and listen to what God has to say to us we find ourselves in a place better than we ever imagined!

Just finished reading this wonderful book. Couldn't put it down. Amazing story as are all of the Dave & Neta Jackson books. Very inspiring. I loved it and would recommend it to everyone. It puts you in touch with the characters and gets you involved with their lives and daily problems. Helps you to make wiser decisions in dealing with life's issues. Even though this is fiction it can really relate to actual life. I can't wait for their next book!

Before you continue reading the Windy City series check out the video on Dave and Neta's website www.davenwta.com and get a glimpse of what Beecham street might look like and Chicago and the train statipn where Harry Bentley works.
This book continues with the Singer family and the trials of losing a job and seeking to provide for family but not truly seeking God and His true wisdom and direction and even involves taking God's word out of context and misrepresenting it to prosper in wrong ways.
Harry Bentley is used of God to speak to Greg and hopefully get him back on the Godly road.
Another inspiring book of the Jackson's. Now we wait patiently for the final book of the series.
