This is the third book in The Razor Bay series by Susan Andersen and, by far, my favorite. I love couples with a past and Diego (uh huh) and Tasha have it in spades. Everything by Susan Andersen is on my Kindle and she is an automatic preorder for me. The way her novels flow and the ease in which they progress makes her one of my favorite authors. Her heroines are always feisty and take crap from no one. The heroes are alpha and always brought to their knees-for more than one reason. This new book was worth what seemed like an eternal wait. The love scenes are steamier and the fight scenes are verbally choreographed for the readers complete entertainment. This book downloaded last night and I just finished it. But her books always do that to me. Chapter 16 is awesome and Diego, or Luc, is now one of my favorite "Susan" heroes. One of her strengths is the appeal of the supporting characters. I am hoping we get to see Peyton and a couple of the others get a story later on. You cannot go wrong with this book or the series. I highly recommend them both.

The book starts seven years ago. Tasha is 22 years old and spending her vacation on a island in the Bahamas. That's where she met Diego. He's the hottest guy she's ever met and she just spent the perfect sexy night with him.
But unfortunately he has to leave for work and she is left behind in his cabin. Where she is then being arrested as Diego's accomplice in a drug deal!!!! o.O She has to spend to horrible nights in jail before she's released!

Seven years later Tasha is the proud owner of a Pizza restaurant in Razor Bay, Washington.
Then one day, her girlfriends Jenny and Harper invite her to a dinner to introduce her to their boyfriends' new-found, long lost half-brother Luc.
Turns out Diego wasn't really the drug-dealing criminal she thought he was.
He's actually a DEA undercover agent named Luc Bradshaw.
But that still doesn't make her forget the two most horrible nights of her life - the two nights she spent in that dark prison cell!

Luc tries everything to get back on her good side again - but she's making it extremely hard.
There's still this huge sexual attraction between them, but whenever she sees him, Tasha is always reminded of those two days in hell. But she's also being reminded of this one, most perfect night of her life.

SO, WHAT WILL SHE DO???
WILL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEIR HEA???

I'm not telling you that of course!! GO READ IT!☺☺☺

I REALLY ENJOYED THE BOOK!

I'm normally not a fan of stories with side-stories in them.
We have the main story about Tasha and Luc, but we also have a little side thingy about Tasha's teenage employees Jeremy and Peyton. But I really enjoyed reading about them. Adorable.

Tasha Riordan's one night stand lands her in jail…in the Bahamas…for drug trafficking. Turns out the man she knew as Diego wasn't the only hot thing in the room. After two terrifying days she is released and sent back to America vowing to never lose control like that again. Seven years later she walks into her bestfriend's kitchen to see Diego passing the potatoes at the table. Diego, who is really known as Luc Bradshaw, is an undercover DEA agent and even though he was on R & R when he invited Tasha back to his hotel room, he was still technically on assignment. Thus begins a story filled with white lies, feelings of betrayal, and a rest of the book that never lived up to the fast paced exciting first two chapters.

The biggest problem I had was the main characters did not have a lot of interaction and when they did it started off as great fiery banter that slowly veered into unfunny vitriol. Tasha snaps and snaps at Luc to the point you wonder if his bedroom skills are worth it for her and Luc's feelings of lust never seem to develop into something more; towards the end I really just wanted these two to go their separate ways.

This is third in a series but can definitely be read as a standalone. Characters from book one and two get a lot of screen time, so if you read the previous books maybe you would enjoy revisiting them but for others that haven't, it could feel like just a lot of needless filler. There is also a mini secondary couple followed throughout the story involving a recovering troubled teen boy and struggling with family issues teen girl. Their story, interaction, and attraction to each other felt more real to me as they actually communicated and developed a relationship. I found myself way more invested in them towards the end of the story.

Tasha and Luc met in the Bahamas while on vacation. They had a hit and steamy fling, that ended with Tasha in jail for drug possession and Luc nowhere to be found.

Seven years later they run into each other again and she's furious with him. He's shocked with her reaction to him and doesn't u understand why she's so mad. Tasha's life seems to be going good, she owns her own business and helps mentor young teens. When she finds out that Luc is an undercover agent, she still doesn't want anything to do with, even though she now knows that he had nothing g to do with her be arrested. When he finally learns why she is so mad, he becomes determined to find what happened and why.

I enjoyed reading as Tasha and Luc finally come together and fall in love, it was so real and genuine. They were perfect for each other and very likeable characters. When they get together it is definitely hit and steamy. All characters were well written, including all the secondary characters. I liked all the stories from the different people in the book, it seemed to add so much to the story.

Great read and I would recommend it to all romance readers.
