Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husbands chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and blogger, Harper's passion for reading runs deep. It wasn't until 'Axel' decided to take up residence that she realized her true calling.
She started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
Mamma Mia, Greg Cage can be my super hero anytime. This was such an emotional roller coaster of emotions. Two grieving souls that find out they have a common bond that ties them together and finally start the healing process but not before fate throws some more heavy duty stuff their way to conquer.
When Greg Cage lost his sister to domestic violence many years ago he took on a crusader persona to always protect women. He found another soul sister in Isabelle but now that she is married to one of his best friends who is as protective of her as he was, he's feeling at a crossroads in his life. Then he meets Melissa Larson and his own thoughts of settling down with one woman and one day having his own family comes front and center. But Gage is still carrying the heavy burden of guilt over his sister and he has a ex-bed buddy that doesn't want to let him go.
Melissa Larson knows grief well too. Her sister was also in a domestic violence marriage that ended tragically and left her young nephew an orphan. She is the sole provider of income for herself and her mother who at the moment has custody of him. She puts up a front of being strong and not needing any help and doesn't have a high opinion of men. When she meets this beast of a man called Cage she's attracted and only agrees to a one night stand. She had no clue that once a man like Greg Cage gets hooked on you it wasn't going to be easy to walk away from him.
This story is multifaceted. Not only is there the hot smoking love story between Greg and Melissa, there is plenty of angst that is thrown their way from a variety of sources along with one huge secret Greg is keeping from Melissa.
There was plenty of face time from the rest of the crew from Corps Security and plenty of angst still going on between them. I'm ready to fall in love with the next in line of the Corps men as I have already with Axel and Cage.

I won't repeat the Book Description I'll just start out on my view on Cage! lol Wow!! Where has this man been all my life!!! I could not put this book down! It has it all: Fantastic plot, Awesome MC's, the supporting cast is out of this world(Sway OMG so funny),wild-sweet-kinky sex(if you've seen any of the teasers then you HAVE to read the whole thing ;) )and an ending that will leave you sighing but wanting more!!!
Greg is this sweet, loving man with a protective side miles long. He's determined, loyal, take no crap kinda guy with some kinky thrown in. I know we all loved him in Axel but now we get to know him on a more one on one basis! You will fall madly in love I promise!!!
Melissa/Meli-Kate is the type of women I would love to be! Strong, witty, devoted to her family and all around sweet and loving! But she will take NO crap off of anyone including Greg. The Beauty for the Beast! To me she's the perfect match for Greg.
You also get to see what all the Corps men are up to and even get some time with Braxxon from Crystal Spears Seize Me. Greg and him together is breath taking and keeps you on the edge of your set to see what they will do!! With that being said I highly recommend you read Cage!!! It's the best book I've read so far this year! I know I said that about Axel but Harper Sloan just keeps getting better and better with each book she write! Now I want Beck!

I read AXEL, and I loved Greg Cage. Thought he was such a great guy...a friend and support to Izzy. Then I got his book. Yuck. I really don't care how many piercings he has in his junk, the way he talks to and about women disgusted me. Mandy--his booty call--is a human, not a crazy biatch...not unworthy of even the most minimal amount of respect. If the guy doesn't want any emotion, any attachment, perhaps he should pleasure himself. Melissa--aka Nurse Sex--really? To her face he calls her Beauty, but all he thinks about is her body and how to get into it. He meets her once and sticks his fingers in her on the dance floor? Come on. Then he goes and disrespects Mandy some more. The whole cat-fight between Mandy and Melissa is freaking ludicrous--and made me think Melissa is no prizewinner.
The CORP Security guys in this book do not sound like ex-military security specialists. They sound like teens in a titty bar. All they can talk about is getting some. I wanted to scream. Really.
Izzy's friend Dee is suppoed to be the "angel of light" for the first book, and in what little I read here her character seems moody and fickle. I really don't want to know any more about her story--or Beck, her match up. If they can't get things figured out in two years, I can't imagine they will in 250 pages.
I had purchased both Cage and Beck, and I returned them. I only got through about 30% of Cage and was too aggravated to continue. I didn't read Beck at all. Nor will I.
As for the writing--in both AXEL, and what I read of CAGE, the dialogue is simple. Like, high school simple. If anything Cage was more juvenile--more F-bombs than periods. There are countless grammatical and spelling errors. I was willing to overlook it in AXEL because the story drew me in, but I didn't love it. 3 stars on Axel...

I loved Greg's book. We only had a glimpse of him in Axel, but man he really surprised me in this book with his holy trifecta! Straight to the top of my book boyfriend list!
