Too much repetition.

This was the first romance novel I ever read, probably close to 10 years ago, and it is still one of my favorites.

The secondary characters are well written and I found myself interested in their story lines as well.

I know this is one of her earlier books, so keeping that in mind, this is a good story. It is a good old fashioned romance. I really like the introduction of the hearing impaired character. It isn't something common, and added to my interest to learn something.

Lauri Parrish is a teacher for hearing impaired students at a private school in which Drake's daughter Jennifer attends. Drake Rivington is an actor on a very popular daytime drama. When he finds out his daughter needs a home environment to grow, he immediately finds a way to lure Lauri to work for him, and help Jennifer. As Drake divides his time between his acting career and his family, we see his constant struggle to give his best to both worlds.

I learned alot about the hearing impaired community, and appreciated this story. It was heartwarming.

Eloquent Silence, a reprint novel from Sandra Brown, is a sweet and endearing love story. Drake Rivington is a popular soap opera star, who is still trying to get over his deceased wife. Drake has a young daughter, Jennifer, who is deaf. Feeling that Jennifer needs a tutor to help her Drake hires Lauri Parrish, a teacher for the deaf. Lauri moves into Drake's house to help Jennifer, while Drake is on location for the soap opera. Sparks fly when Drake comes home for a break from his work. Eloquent Silence is a love story that will pull you in and grab hold of your heart. It is so easy to love Jennifer and wonderful to see her learn how to sign and even speak some words. While the little girl is winning your heart, her father and Lauri are falling in love. How sweet a novel!!

All soap opera fans will love this book! The handsome leading man of the most popular soap falls for a teacher, who could be you or me! That is the charm of this book! Total fantasy with some great love-making scenes. And the story ends the way we all wanted it to! This was my first Sandra Brown book and I am looking forward to more!

The author did good research on learning the deaf kids communication skills and the tools which are used. I believed the characters, the challenges they had and you look at this story as a true story, you learn from it and that's why it's so enchanting.

Soap star and hunk (Drake Rivington) + deaf daughter (Jennifer) + deceased wife/ballerina (Susan) + secrets + pretty "red headed" teacher (Lauri) = romance and love. That's about it. The secret I guessed early on, the romance was a given and the story is ok. You can read it about a day. It is not to heavy or hard to understand...something to take your mind off your troubles.

From the first time that Lauri and Drake met until the final kiss, this book had me captivated by its well-written plot andpoignant words. This book was not like any other Sandra Brownnovel. Jennifer's character was an added spice to the
book. Bravo Sandra Brown!

Sorry... I really like Sandra Brown, but I don't like it when a publisher releases an old book with a new publishing date. I usually check the dates, since this seems to be a common practice, but in this case, the oldest date is 2013. This is a book from the 80s, and the characters, interactions and storyline are dated. The publishing date should be corrected to show the original date, not the date this publisher bought the rights to these old books.
