So here's the thing. A story can be perfectly crafted, but if the characters are unlikeable, I don't want to waste my time. It makes me feel cheated.

How happy I was to get only a little way into UNBELONGING and find myself pulling for Chloe! I'll try not to leak any spoilers, but here's a girl who shows grit and humor in the face of real life. Thank God this book doesn't feature another whiner who I'm supposed to admire just because she shows up. Why would a guy like Lawton be interested in a chick like that? Fortunately Chloe is more than his match, even though he's hot as hell and makes her feel vulnerable. (Not weak. Vulnerable.)

Speaking of Lawton...hot, hot, hot. Sure, he's not perfect, but it makes him more fun to read about. After all, the book isn't called UNFLAWED. He's a hot guy who you could imagine really meeting (okay, a girl can dream). Speaking of hot guys and trying not to give too much away, there's another interesting bad boy in this story who I hope the author plans to write about.

Yes, a little cliffhanger, but I don't mind waiting with characters this good. Also hoping for a little from Lawton's viewpoint. We'll see. Waiting patiently for the sequel...

The book was great. Up until about 98% in. All I can say if there wasn't a sequel coming in spring, I'd buy all the copies I could find and burn them to a crisp. In my honest opinion you should just wait until the the second book comes out to read this one. I wish I did. But if you have the patience by all means read this book. Just sayin Im warning you now, you will have to search your entire mental dictionary to express the level of pissed you are. I mean in the first ten pages I was pretty pissed. I mean if somebody that to me that I cared about I don't know if I could forgive them enough to just be in there presence. Let alone love them. But I definitely want them to work out. I'm a sucker for happy endings which Is why I read these type of books. I'm really thinking they should put a sticker on the front of a book if it has a happy ending and if it doesn't. It wouldn't ruin for me if they did, usually the ending to a book can affect my outlook on other books. And usually the outlook of my daily activities for a couple of days.

I had avoided purchasing this book because it didn't have a high rating...I usually only buy 4 1/2 stars or higher. for some reason I kept coming back to it and the reviews kept getting better and better and- I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT IT!!!! This is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. It's funny- Chloe is hilarious! I found myself laughing out loud, swooning over Lawton, who is a total hottie, and even crying at one point. it does end in a cliffhanger but I'm okay with that since the next book comes out soon. you have to stop thinking and just buy this book!!!!!

This was a great read! I loved the strong characters and the way they interacted. The dialog was very believable and spiced with a little mystery and drama. The book ended with a surprise cliffhanger which was great, but I can't wait until April for the next installment. I need more Lawton, NOW!!! He is fantasy worthy!

Yes this book was a waste of time and money for me. The storyline has so much potential but the book is a fail because 1) the heroine is a big fat liar, a hypocrite, and a poser 2) there is no buildup or character development 3) the writing is mediocre at best, thus could not buy the story.

The first quarter was ok but by the end I was skimming (meaning spending about 5 sec per page) to finish reading, and what do you know, a Hugh cliffhanger. No to book two.

Steamy.

Most of the new writers in this category aren't worth reviewing. This one is. I assume this is the author's first book, but it reads like a real life story. It's well written. Not over the top crazy like some of the new entries in Adult Romance novels.

It's formatted great for the Kindle. Worth the $$. Recommended.

One would think that 60 chapters would be more than enough chapters to tell this story..alas apparently it is not. Random scenes, that have no bearing on the story line. Little dialogue between the main characters. The relationships between H & h reads more like two 13 year old kids. Really disappointed, I bought this after trying the sample, which were the best chapters of the book.

This is the best novel I have read in this genre. Well written, sexy, romantic and witty, it has all the ingredients of a classic in the making. Nowadays is difficult to find novels that aren’t full of clichés or commonplaces and that are just a little more than recycled material. You won’t find those issues in “Unbelonging”: it’s pure original material, well thought out and wonderfully expressed. Whatever you are a new adult fan, a romance lover or simply want to read a well-written book, you can’t go wrong with “Unbelonging”.
