What's New in the 2015 Edition?
Updated critical comparison between Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions. Additional Internet resources for researching your trip. Revised area hotel review scoring. Updated annual pass and ticket discount information. More detailed parking and transportation advice. The latest word on FASTPASS and the future of FastPass+. Additional coverage of guided tours at Disneyland. Expanded advice for guests with disabilities. Detailed information about meeting Anna & Elsa from FROZEN. Extensive updates to quick-service and table-service dining in and around Disneyland Resort, including Disneyland's new online reservation system. Revised attraction ratings, and updates on refurbished classic attractions including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Alice in Wonderland. Details on the popular Marvel Superhero meet and greets in Tomorrowland. Updated advice on experiencing World of Color, including new dining package details. Information on the new Despicable Me, Harry Potter, Simpsons, and Fast & Furious attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood. Improved touring plans for all parks. All-new "Importance of Being Goofy"satirical essay. New quotes & tips from actual readers throughout the book.
While I was happy to get the latest guide my only gripe about the 2015 edition is the cover photo featuring a scene of California Adventures. It is extremely out of date and looks like it belongs to a pre-2009 edition. I'm shocked this was allowed to go to print. Since this shouldn't reflect the information within the pages I still give it five stars.
Now for the review of the book and the series...
These guides have always been extremely helpful for us. Time and again, following the day plans, we've had stress free trips that actually leave us with plenty of time to do whatever we want afterwards. From the time you arrive at the esplanade to eating, planing hotels, shopping, and taking a break from your day the guide is a great primer for those new to the park and regulars. Updated yearly the guide accounts for changes in park attendance behaviors and attraction additions and subtractions. Sehlinger's team also provides a guide on peak attendance days at the resort. These guides have evolved each year with the parks.
The Unofficial Guide is not only frank it goes into far more detail than Birnbaum's "official" guide. It does not have the full color maps and photos however but it does what you need it to do with interesting anecdotes, history and funny commentary.

You need to read it thoroughly to catch everything, but this is a must read before you venture out to Disneyland! The authors have tested their ideas and also welcome comments from readers, so you know that the information is good by the time it goes to press.

Tons of helpful information. I've been to Disneyland with my daughter a few times and thought I'd be more organized this time around.
Usually we just kind of wander around aimlessly, standing in long lines with the rest of the unorganized park-goers, but when we go here in January, I'm hoping that we have a much more pleasant time. Because let's face it -this place is unbelievably expensive and making the most of a yearly or every other year trip here makes a lot of sense. The cost of this book is well worth it to get priceless tips on how to enhance your visit here.
What I usually think of as "spontaneous" can end up being overwhelming and frustrating for my family so am determined to make our two day vacation more pleasant and fun. We always do Park Hopper passes and going from park to park can be crazy in itself because there's so much to do and so little time to do it (especially with a grade-schooler and tired parents)!
Being organized doesn't mean strict…there are plenty of ideas in this book to include room for changes in schedules, and things do change depending on conditions when it comes to amusement parks.
I'll update after we come back from our trip in a few months!!!

As a new annual passholder, this book has really opened up a new world of details to enjoy at the parks. It has really helped me make the most of each visit and customize my plans.
