Decent map - makes for a good learning aid

The map is not as sturdy as I hoped, but it is still a useful, easy-to-read map.
You do have to be careful how you fold the map because it can get creases like paper would.

If I were to buy another map, I'd probably make sure it wasn't so flimsy.
But I am still satisfied with what I received.

I think that this map is great for a small home office or a child's room . For the price it's great to have it laminated. It doesn't have to be framed so that you can tack it to a bulletin board or thumb tack it to another area near a desk. I think it's a great buy for the money.

what idiot chose the colors?

I bought this map for my classroom. Something that is not clear from the photo is the dismal, dark, dead-foliage coloring. It is much darker in person than it appears on Amazon, and has a black border.

Why all the states are shown as dark olive, purple, dull burnt orange, or brown beats me. Unless your nose is close to the map, you cannot read the names (in black) of most of the states. You can't even easily distinguish the borders of the states! Moreover, the map shows EVERY interstate highway, which makes it hugely busy and adds to the difficulty in reading it.

I am returning this map. I'm sure I can find something better for my 8th grade classroom.

nice map but lamination causes unwanted reflections

I mounted this map on a cork board in my HAM shack and find it adequate for my needs but the lamination causes unwanted reflections when it is viewed from any distance that is not 90 degrees perpendicular to the face of the map.
