I was careless in selecting an "essential" atlas when I required a more comprehensive atlas. This particular version is better suited to a middle school/high school audience, The production quality is excellent and attractive. The size is well proportioned but not so
much to an atlas user who requires greater detail. I shall purchase the Oxford World Atlas which I should have done in the first
place.

This is a fantastic atlas! The quality of this book is wonderful -- nice weight to the pages and great color on the maps, very updated information and it is a great size to take along in the car or backpack. We have a hardcover atlas on the coffee table but my son (11) wanted a small one to take in the car for studying the geography bee and this book is perfect. Great to thumb through for general interest too, don't need to have a geography bee to find this atlas interesting and useful.

This is a decent atlas of a fantastic size and presentation. My gripe is that the smaller countries aren't presented with as much detail as I'd like, and are crammed onto a page with other countries.
