Love it that it is easily arranged alphabeticallly not only by state but by parks as well. Lots of info regarding each parks and states requirements For any one traveling outside their home state this is a must have. We never leave home without!!

We bought this book because we travel extensively in a big rig and often wish we could take advantage of State parks. However, our few attempts have led us to complicated situations when the park wasn't built for large motorhomes. This book seems to do an admirable job of listing State parks as indicated on the cover. However, aside from naming the park and providing directions and GPS coordinates, the book is sadly lacking in the important information. Rv'ers would like to know what type of power, 30 or 50 amp, availability of pull-throughs, big rig access, Wi-Fi, pet friendly, shade trees, to name a few. A quick look at RV Park Review online provides most of that information for all parks reviewed. To give credit, the book does provide some detailed information for a few of the parks, but in general the information is lacking. I'd think that the Fourth Edition would have improved the data provided!

This Book puts all the State Parks for Camping in ONE Book a lot less to carry.. Maps great and U can plan your trip using this book and using public area to set up your RV or tents.. We RV and I am still "OLD SCHOOL " need a Book not a web site.. we R going to Michigan this summer to see the LIGHT HOUSES this book saved me many many hours of research.. MONEY WeLL SPENT BUY THIS BOOK

If you like to camp in nature areas, this guide will tell you maximum length of RV allowed, facilities (showers, playgrounds), cost and how to reserve. I keep one in the RV for trips without reservations and another at home to plan a trip in the summer when reservations are essential in popular areas.
