About the Author
Margie Rynn has been living and writing about France for over 13 years. The author of Pauline Frommer's Paris, she has also written features for several travel magazines, as well as Time Out New York and Yoga Journal. In a previous New York life, she acted in a Broadway play and performed her own one-woman show. Margie is married to a kind and understanding Frenchman and they have a lovely eleven year old son. She lives in Paris.

I highly recommend this guide to Paris. It contains clear, well-organized and well-communicated information about traveling in Paris while being reasonably priced and a good size to carry around. The writing is easy to read and as someone who has been to Paris several times, I found the descriptions to be accurate and the advice to be sound. This would be a good buy both for those who are visiting for the first time and those who just need a brush up on the most current information.

In preparing my 13 year-old daughter's first trip to Paris, I bought this book and we read from it every night. As we read through the chapters containing the history of the city, as well as the background of some of the most iconic landmarks, I was enthralled by the detail and care. And the descriptions of restaurants, cafes, and markets made my mouth water. My wife took my daughter, but I felt as if I had gone to the City of Lights - having read this wonderfully informative guide.
