I still can't figure out what that means.
My Honest Opinion
Flash cards are a great way to do it and the organizational colors really help you find things.

I majored in Spanish in college and haven't had immense opportunities to practice. I bought these because I wanted to brush up on vocabulary that might have fallen by the wayside.

There are quite a few of these cards in the box and they are categorized. There are phrases that are supposed to help with travel (e.g. "I would like a double room." and Does the room have cable television?") restaurants (e.g. "I would like a glass of water")banking, time, shopping, etc.

I think the cards are pretty good for a person who is just starting out because they help a person learn basic vocabulary. That being said, the cards are really too basic for someone who has had any background in Spanish They are meant for someone who has probably learned the sounds of the letters and needs to quickly memorize a lot of vocab for tests or travel. Really, these would be perfect for a high school Spanish I class or the first half of a college Spanish I class.

The card stock is decent and you can take them with you places without worrying about bending them too badly. It's important to note, however, that you get the phrase and the English translation and that is it. There is no break down of the word to see how it is pronounced. Word pronunciation can be useful for beginners.

There were a couple of translations that were not exact. Sometimes the publisher employs a more complicated Spanish translation than is needed. Be prepared that you may experience verb tenses that are foreign to you if you have only studied the present tense. This set employs phrases that may use future, conditional and subjunctive tenses.

I'm an intermediate level spanish student and these cards seem to give me the right level of challenge. I've worked threw a few hundred so far. They work great as a supplemental tool. Since the cards themselves do nothing to help pronunciation you have to get some audio instruction, etc to use with it. But they are great for expanding vocab and your arsenal of phrases.

I love these cards. Thought of making some myself until I found these on Amazon, for the price you can't beat it. Only problem is that they are heavy if you are going to take them on a trip.

Just received these via UPS, delivered promptly and packaged properly. The cards come packaged in a very sturdy box for storage, but the cards themselves are a bit flimsy. The cards cover a variety of topics and are divided into sections of basics/greetings; questions, negatives & exclamations; colors; time & calendar; weather/seasons, etc as described. I think the cards are helpful but I can see that you will need to be very careful when using them or they will not stand up well to repeated use. I will use the flash cards and not bother to return them, but I would not re-order and am disappointed in the quality of the cards.

Having 1000 phrases on flash cards can be very valuable to a beginner. I gave it 3 stars because it has no indication of how to pronounce the words. If they included that feature, they would have hit the ball out of the park with 5 stars!

One point of confusion for me: The listing emphasises "SPANISH EDITION". I still can't figure out what that means. It has English on one side of the card and... yup, you guessed it. ...Spanish on the other side of the card. The outside of the box is in English. So I don't know what makes this the "SPANISH EDITION" ????
No Comprendo muy bien.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I can hardly wait to dig into these to learn these phrases! Considering I already know how to read and pronounce Spanish (Spanish For Dummies), it makes it much easier! IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE SPANISH, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY BUY A LEARNING PRODUCT/DEVICE THAT TEACHES YOU THIS, AS THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT. Only thing that I wish that this product would have had (and this is not a major issue) are tabs to separate the different sections of words
to make it easier to pull out a full section of words if you wanted to do this; the kind of tabs that you would find used in a Bible. However, the sections of phrases are labeled by category, so it is easy to differenciate where one section begins and where it ends. And for me, it's nice to be married into a Spanish speaking family, as I have a husband who can help me if I need him to, even though he cannot read Spanish. lol Really, though, this is a great product! I would also suggest buying Spanish Vocabulary. I have this product too and it is great!
