The best thing that I liked about this book was that it was small enough to carry around. I studied it and highlighted points of interest before the trip and it was easy to reference back to it throughout our visit. I liked the descriptions of items under 'points of interest.' I would have liked a longer list of restaurants, especially the restaurants that were not so expensive. The maps in the book were just ok. I would definitely recommend this book; it was a good value.

This is a basic guide, helpful but lacking in one big area....no map! Sure there were small maps inside but not a good general map to use while touring around. I like to have a map to get a general orientation when i first go to a place I've never been to before. There was a map of the historic area but what about the rest of the city and surrounding area? Discriptions of sights and attractions were uneven with some very good and others very thin. For instance I read about the Old Slave Market Museum which sounded very interesting but was only two small rooms with very little of interest. Fodor's could do better....
