Editorial Reviews

Review

"The book is not just for inebriates, but for serious tourists."
-- Sherryl Connelly, New York Daily News

"Overall, I think this guide is entertaining and funny... Although the title was a little offputting, it contained some valuable information for those looking to party in different places around the country and around the world."
-- Alyssa Pirrello, GoNOMAD.com

"The fine folks over at Matador Travel just dropped a guidebook that isn't full of tired, lame, or even BS travel information. It's called 101 Places to Get Fucked Up Before You Die and it brings together the most irreverent and legit accounts of drinking, nightlife and travel culture around the world."
-- BroBible.com

"it wasn't just the obvious destinations and festivals -- Burning Man, Oktoberfest, and New York nightclubs -- that made it into the book (though those are in there, too). It was also about finding places that were off-the-beaten track: Locales that were not only fun to visit culturally, but that also knew how to have a good time."
-- Megan Willett, Business Insider

"... an ode to overindulgence that's also a surprisingly handy travel guide."
- Brian Kevin, Outside Magazine

Praise for 101 Places to Get F*cked Up Before You Die

"Matador Network's new travel guide, 101 Places to Get F*cked Up Before You Die, features hilarious-yet-useful advice, stunning photography and plenty of fun destination ideas… So raise your glass… A rockin' good time."
--USA Today

"If you get wasted in Times Square every New Year’s Eve, you’re a rank amateur. There’s a whole world of much better places to get really blitzed. And no one knows that better than the editors of Matador Network, an online travel magazine, who are publishing the seminal guide to international hedonism 101 Places to Get F*cked Up Before You Die."
--Daily News (New York)

101 Places is the kind of book I wish they'd asked me to contribute to. Not because I could have made it any better, but because the thing is just so much damn fun."
--Chuck Thompson, author of Better Off Without ‘Em and To Hellholes and Back

“Finally, a travel guide for those of us who reckon an exciting vacation we can’t entirely remember is far superior to a dull one we can.”
--Frank Kelly Rich, Editor Modern Drunkard Magazine

Exactly what you'd expect based on the title. 101 places to go to party, where to party when you get there (and where not), and anecdotes from people who've partied there before you. Andrew WK would approve.

I travel all over the world and love Matador Network for their stories but this book is worthless . Short random thoughts of a drunken experience. Each story is too short to gain info and too short to keep your attention. Sorry Matador you failed on this one.

Fun, concise travel guide highlighting the insider watering holes in 101 cities around the globe. A must-have for anyone looking to experience the exciting under- (or over-)bellies of popular tourist destinations.
