Seeking these places out will give a reality check to all the usual tourist high spots. I was delighted to find the restaurant Chartier listed as I can assure you it is both really Parisian and an inexpensive meal. You know that because the regulars will check the waiter's math on the paper table cloth. It is always crowded and not conducive to quiet, private conversations, but it is a wonderful experience.

a very small ( 4 3/4 " wide by 6 1/4" long) book for those nostalgic for the old days in paris, some of which are documented here before inevitable extinction. too small for me to hold comfortably in my hands and not worth the price for such a short read.

If you travel to Paris this is a great little book to tuck into your suitcase. It will help you find some of the hidden places in Paris that are not mentioned in the normal travel books. If you don't travel but want to dream of traveling to Paris, its full of great pictures and a fun book to help you dream of being in Paris.
