While an attractive book, Kindle makes it very hard to flip back and forth between pages, which is what I like to do with travel guides. Also, this Fodor's seems a bit superficial in its coverage (relatively few venues reviewed) compared with others I've bought.

Good book. Lots and lots of detail for all interests, both indoors and outdoors. This is the most comprehensive guide I've yet seen for Alaska, in terms of listings, itineraries, and contexts. Contains only a small section on cruises, so buy another book if that's what you're after.
The Kindle book includes all of the text but excludes some of the graphics in order to simplify the presentation for a small-screen device.

Fodor's writes excellent travel books. However, I found this one difficult to navigate in Kindle. There were sections I wanted to skip (describing places we won't be visiting) and I couldn't tell where to move to get to the next part I wanted to read.
